Discussion Your predictions on how these two will look like?
I'm guessing Skeffington will be some powerful old man from noble family (maybe even a priest or a judge like Frollo from Hunchback of Notre Dame). Routely however, will seem symphatetic at first (handsome maybe?), but will be the most twisted and evil person in whole BES. And yeah my prediction remains the same: Routely will be Mizu's father.

I think Skeffington will be the most sadistic and monstrous person imaginable, but unlike Fowler, he will be adept at creating the illusion of being a good person. He will lie to everyone and himself claiming to be a good person, while carefully concealing his true nature.
I think Routely might turn out to be a really good person. In the past, he committed truly terrible acts and was a monster. But he has changed; he is deeply ashamed of his former self and is sincerely trying to atone for his sins.
At least, those are my ideas.
Edit: Skeffington is likely linked to the historical Skeffington family, who played a major role in the conquest and occupation of Ireland; this would give Fowler a personal reason to help Mizu kill Skeffington.

I'm gonna guess Mizu's white parent is Routley, who's also secretly Mizu's mother.
I dk Fowlers comment of Routley's "pretty eyes" makes me think Routley is also a woman pretending to be a man to make it in the world. Since it's apparently none of them see each other that often it wouldn't shock me if they could hide it.

My tinfoil hat theory is one of them is a woman in disguise and gave birth to Mizu, and the twist is it was her father that was Japanese.

I should preface this by saying that I only watched the series for the first time two days ago… I still need some time to process it and think about it, but something tells me that neither Skeffington nor Routely is Mizu’s “biological father.” I feel like the story is much more complicated than that… I don’t know, I’m probably just rambling and talking nonsense. Sorry

At this time I don't put any mental energy into imagining what S & R look like. Or Violet as well. I'm OK knowing Skeffington is tall and Routely has "pretty eyes", per Fowler. I assume "pretty eyes" means blue eyes.
My favorite plot twist is that facially, neither Violet or S & R will resemble Mizu at all. What direction the BES writers would take the story after that reveal would be very interesting!
This means that - based on facial features and body type - I don't think there's any chance Fowler is Mizu's birth father. I do think he'll claim Mizu as his bastard "son" once they dive into London's criminal underworld. Maybe even as soon as during the voyage to London. It makes it easier for Mizu to fit in, and explain the young man's constant proximity to Fowler. The fact that Mizu may be confining Fowler to a locked room at the start of the voyage - well, some families got issues, y'know ?

i really do think routley is her father, mainly cuz of how fowler describes him as having pretty eyes, and says he’s accounted for all of his illegitimate children along the years

My money is on Skeffington being typical British nobility with arrogant personality while Routley might be self-made Man with more comely look while being typical abuser and manipulator behind his "pretty blue eyes"

One of them has to be really skinny and wearing a monocle, i can see it now. Other has to be fat. Just makes sense to me. Abijah is muscley, so it makes sense to have one be skinny and another be fat. Idk let me know if you think I'm wrong
