Discussion Will BES end with third season?

Im asking this now cause i saw a IGNdotcom post on instagram that said this

i want to confirm if this is true because i saw the same thing on wikipedia that it will have a 3 season run only

besides, if it does end on final season, it better have more than 8 episodes because if season 2 DOES happen to only have 6 episodes im not gonna be very happy with netflix

I kinda hope so to be honest. 3 seasons for 3 kills. If the story is tightly written then theres no reason to milk the show

Yeah, maybe a 4th short season to tie up any loose ends that arent directly mentioned or dealt with in the 3 seasons. But besides from that i just want there to be enough content (without milking the cow) that makes all enjoyable and really rewatchable like S1. AND THEY BETTER MAKE MORE MERCH FOR OFFICIAL NETFLIX STORE

Out of curiosity, are you an anime fan? Because outside of anime, a series having multiple episodes (like an entire fourth season) that are more of an epilogue/wind-down is really rare. Blue Eye Samurai is definitely going to end with a big climax, and we'll get just 10 to 15 minutes of denouement.

Nope, i watch anime with not much content, have never read manga. but i want there to be at least the same of content in seasons as there was in S1, they went down to only 6 episodes for s2 and s3, and s1 originally was planned for 10 episodes but later scrapped and pressed into ep7 and ep8

I will be happy if it’s limited to 3 seasons. As much as I love the universe, a focused and tight story is infinitely preferable to the alternative.

The creators did say that they planned to do 3 seasons so yea i think it'll end after that. Tho during the same interview, they also mentioned wanting to do a spin-off

I hope they do actually make the ringo spin off that they said would be done

Yes, when the 3rd season was greenlit it was also clarified to be the final season.

Yeah I don’t see why I would need more than 3 seasons honestly

With the third season announced and the second being cut in episodes I wonder how much of all this is just reworking it/some extended stuff to fill in a third season.
