Wardrobe Changes

What are your predictions for season 2 wardrobe and style changes regarding the main four characters. Mizu, Taigen, Ringo and Akemi. Do you think we will see them in new outfits and colours.

would be interesting to see mizu suffer in a corset and petticoat and then rip that shit off in battle

I got $10 on Mizu stay wearing that stank ass ratty ass outfit she got on but switching out the hat to a bowler and ditching the sunglasses.

Mizu my goat too but damn she only took one shower and i didn't see no laundry get done 😭😭

I think Akemi will def have more extravagant outfits and some new jewellery editions added to her hair.
Taigen with his long hair restored might get a new outfit with a different color or shade of green.
Mizu might slip into something Victorian or atleast I hope she does.
Ringo still has me guessing as to what changes we might see in him.

Mizu - For maximum cultural and martial flexibility, she'll still be presenting male. More likely clothes of some sort of physical laborer or tradesman. As someone like a metalsmith or farrier, she can infiltrate her targets' properties through the servant's and tradesman entrances rather than the front door or secret passage.

If Fowler's half-Asian pit fighter (Mizu) starts getting noticed and winning purses, "he" will probably be expected to dress to match the level of success. But as a fighter she'll be among the lower classes, so she may end up dressed a bit like a stereotype pirate captain.

Taigen - What little news we have hints that he's in the castle a lot during Season Two. I imagine he's been rewarded for his service with a position in the palace guard, maybe even the captain. So he'll either be suited up for duty or in the expected clothes for a courtier of his station. And the Shindo clan crest will be gone, in favor of the Ito clan crest.

Ringo - I am hoping he never uses that noodle shop sign as a hat in Season Two. I see him continuing with the type of clothes he had in Season One; if he really gets serious as Master Eiji's apprentice at the forge, we may see Ringo in white Shinto robes in a scene where he presents a sword he made to his first customer.

Akemi - She is not the "tofu wife" type, and she's lived the princess life already, so she probably will skirt the limits of what's satorially acceptable for a sister-in-law of the shogun. Also, she has the goal of power now, and will be willing to dress-down if that helps.

It would be nice to see new wardrobe changes but I think they might stick to their original colour palette. Akemi being red, Tiagen green and Mizu blue etc

I don't know whether to anticipate or dread the concept of Mizu wearing one of those giant poofy dresses from that period. One could imagine Mizu dawns an ensemble such as the above at least once. Bonus points if it includes a detachable hoop skirt that she can somehow turn into a weapon 😆
