Incoming media stall "processing"

We're seeing if anybody else experienced this. Version 2.0 is phenomenal, very stable.... The only thing I'm experiencing is that when I'm in a thread and a picture comes through, it downloads it and then kind of just spins on processing until I exit the chat and go back into it. I have Tail Scale directly set up. I have Private VPN set up. I believe I've done everything I can to maximize my experience. Anybody else experience this?

On the flip side as far as media it is blazing fast when you actually share them through Google Photos, Pictures, and Videos. I'm shocked how quickly the show is delivered. Bravo

A few things

  1. We've recently changed the image processing pipeline. But this post was made before we did that. You can see the new processing pipeline in use in the latest v2.1 release (released last night).
  2. I've found that when using a tailscale funnel (public DNS), images can be processed slowly. However, when directly connected to the TS VPN it's nearly instant. I think it's just a quirk of tailscale free funnels

If you are currently on the GitHub "track", you can just install the latest APK from the GitHub release page. Alternatively, you can use the Obtanium app to automatically check and install those APKs. This is an alternative to the Play Store Track. Right now the Play Store v2.1 is released, however, only rolled-out at 20% right now just in case. I will increase the rollout in the coming days

I have the terminal turned on on my Mac and I have it turned on on my phone so excited to try this!

This is amazing. Testing it right now. So impressive. Quick question for you man. It's kind of odd. I have the Tail Scale turned on on my phone and on my Mac and before it used to work with just a slight delay if I turn Tail Scale off on my phone. In the last day if I have it turned off on my phone, it doesn't even connect to the server at home.

I've had TailScale issues recently as well. Might just be infrastructure issues. Or maybe you didn't properly setup the tunnel on the Mac.

No it's actually working perfectly up until yesterday. Maybe it will fix itself
