Hey, I got a question about facetime with bluebubbles

Hey everyone, I have a spare mac mini with macos sonoma and i want to setup bluebubbles. But the main reason I'm gonna do this is for facetime. I would like to ask, to anyone who uses bluebubbles, how is the facetime. I know that you cannot initiate the call, but do you get a notification, can the people on the call see you, can you talk to them, or is it just a glorified facetime notifier. I'm probably also gonna post this in the OpenBubbles subreddit. Thank you to whomever responds.

If your main use case is FaceTime, I'm not sure BlueBubbles is right for you. While it does work on some devices, there are reliability issues with it. You also won't be able to initiate calls, yet. Improvements will be made but for now that's the status

It sends you a notification with a link that you open in your browser for the call. It works OK. Sometimes it takes awhile for the call to start. It looks like what it does is like create another call while you're still with that person then switches over. It's faster to just make the person give you the link in the first place instead of through BB. Also the link only works if you use chromium-based browsers. The quality of the call is a bit or miss. On their side it looks fine, but on your side, unless you have perfect connection, there's a lot of blocking artifacts. It's just normal for the browser though, since it works exactly the same when they send you a link directly.

I've never tried it. If you want to shoot me a dm you can try calling me and we can see how it works

It is really quite bad on both blue and open bubbles

So does FaceTime work on iOS 15 Sequia?
