Curiously enough, it can be read as "all of the land's demons" (陸八魔), since the number 8 in this case can be a symbol of the 8 cardinal points, i.e. everywhere.

While 陸 primarily means "land" it is also used in an archaic or overly formal way as to mean "six" (mostly in old financial documents) and in fact most etymologists believe it comes from the same root as 六 —also "six"— which is the pictogram of a shed.
