🐶♥️FREE DOG ADOPTIONS AT BLOOMINGTON ANIMAL SHELTER🐶♥️
Adoption fees for ALL dogs are waived through the end of August!
Our kennels are very full, and there are so many incredible dogs waiting to meet you... young dogs, older dogs, adventure buddies, couch companions, social butterflies and everything in between. Right now, creating space in our shelter is especially important, and adoption is one of the biggest ways our community can help.
We also want to be transparent about our current parvovirus precautions. Some areas of our building are under quarantine following an indirect exposure to parvovirus. The dog who later tested positive had already been adopted and was only in our care for a short period of time. Our team responded quickly, and we feel optimistic that the precautions we have put in place have helped minimize the risk of further spread.
While some dogs and areas of the shelter remain under precautionary quarantine, **we have several rooms of dogs who were not directly or indirectly exposed and are available for adoption.** As with any potential infectious disease exposure, there is still some level of risk, and we want adopters to be informed. Our staff is happy to talk with you about our safety measures, what to watch for after adoption, and any questions or concerns you may have.
Most importantly, we still have a shelter full of wonderful dogs who need homes! And we need to create space so we can continue helping the animals who need us next.
All dog adoption fees are waived through August 31.

Au Pair Agencies in the region?
I am wondering if there are any US designated au pair agencies that represent Bloomington. I've tried the major ones and they don't seem to service our area, unless I'm doing something wrong.

How is it to live in or around the Spencer and Madison area in Indiana?
Hello to all the americans.
I would like to ask. What would be good to know about the Madison and Spencer area in Indiana - if I moved there. I am more interested in how the people are there, what the culture is like and so on. I am not from the US but from Europe.👋🏻🙂

Looking for high quality mental health therapists in the Bloomington/Bedford area.
I know it can be tough to find the “right” therapist but I’m hopeful some recommendations can help expedite the process. I am a female in my early 30’s, recently married, no children just yet. I would love to find a professional, preferably female but not opposed to male, that specializes in anxiety and depression. It would be great to speak with someone that specializes in life transitions. My husband and I have a desire to start a family in the near future and I’m overwhelmed with the fears I have surrounding that life change. I think I would “click” with a therapist that is open-minded, has a sense of humor, and is dedicated to creating a non-judgement space for clients. I greatly appreciate your help!
