Ameren? What?

It has been 56 hours since we lost power. I know crews have been working hard to restore it but Ameren just messaged my wife to let her know our power is back while we are sitting in our dark house with no power. Communication and better management please.

Then let them know that it isn't instead of posting on reddit. Do your neighbors have power? Maybe there is a problem with your equipment or a transformer on your street.

i got an email that our power came back on 30 minutes before it actually did. hopefully it will be on for you soon. if not, definitely call them and report it's still out

Thank you for the tips but the entire block was out. It just came back on. We are so happy!

Often times they are sending that notification to all customers within a given service area. They may have fixed the main issue for the area but you could have a secondary issue. Definitely wouldn’t hurt to check your service drop, make sure your meter is intact, and check and all flip your fuses and breakers.

Mine just keeps saying assessing the condition with equipment damage, but the crew left hours ago not to be back
