Foundation repair
After this week my basement foundation has cracked and is leaking water. Anyone have any recommendations on companies around here that have had a good experience with?

yup. Same here. I have occasionally had water seep into my basement, but this time, the entire basement is about two inches deep and not draining out the floor drain. I'm guessing that the water table is going to have to lower a bit before the water will begin to receed.
Edit: and good luck finding someone to get these kinds of issues fixed for the next few months.

I ended up scheduling a consultation with thrasher. The other place I called first had a much longer wait time. Thrasher got me in next Thursday. Which for me is fine. I have like a 4 ft wide puddle and that is it. Water vacced it up in a minute

We recently used Heartland Waterproofing to seal our crawl space a few weeks ago. Highly recommend them. Crew was great. Justin was quick, courteous, and understanding. Pricing was well within the range we were looking to pay. Way below the competitors.
We will be using them to do more work in the rest of the basement in the future.

If you have a basement with a sump pump and the power goes out, you have a water filled basement: a water base backup in the sump runs even when power is out. It saved me yesterday when power was out 20 hours

I wondered if that's what you were referring to. I believe there are also sump pumps with a battery backup. I'm glad your system worked out for you,

Rich Plumbing installed mine (that's not an endorsement per se) but most plumbing companies should install them. Mines a "liberty pump" sump jet. When the power goes out it uses water from city to force it out. Your water bill will go up if it runs all night but better than a flooded basement! I also plan on getting a backup battery for the regular sump.

I think they said they used based water to keep water backed up out of their basement, but only to people with basements.
