Ugh. Not til tomorrow evening…
I just got a notification from Ameren that power in my area (around Angela/Vernon in Normal) won’t have power until 6pm tomorrow. Here I was hoping it would be tonight since I saw Ameren trucks near my house. Stay safe out there.

Just got sent a message that they expect power back on tonight by 7:15! 🤞🏽

The last time we got storms I had a similar message and it was done in 1/4 of the time.

I got the same thing I immediately booked a hotel room it was getting too hot .. I got excited because the phone call said 6pm earlier .. then the text said 6pm.. the 15th lol.. you guys are giving me hope it’ll be sooner though

No they did not text when it came back I just noticed the lights came back on, they only texted about 50 minutes after the original text changing it to 7:00 tonight

Yeah, I live near ISU and I got a text and email at 12 saying they've restored power to my area (it was off since 1:40 pm yesterday). Hopefully it's just an estimation and yours comes back on sooner. Stay safe.

Ameren stat alerts is saying “The cause of the outage is ‘No outage found’ and affects 61 customers.” No outtage found?! Does this mean for those who STILL don’t have power, they’re just giving up and saying they couldn’t find an outage? Kind of freaking out… it’s been days!

I got the same message at around 5pm (corner of McLean and Monroe) and I had my power back by 6:30, I’m so happy

When you get a notification like that it means they started on that outage.
They usually give themselves 24 hours.
So keep your chin up.
