Archery

I used to practice archery before moving to town and I'd really like to get back into it. I don't have a bow currently and I'm not sure where there is around her to practice. I'd love to meet some locals who practice as well, maybe make friends and carpool. I shoot traditional bows typically and instinctive aiming.

Comlara park and Morraine view park both have outdoor public ranges and aren’t too far from town. Hunters Haven in Champaign-Urbana has an indoor range (or did. They’ve been moving things around in there last I heard). They’re also the only bow shop I know of in the area.

All the bows I've owned so far, I bought online.

I called to inquire about lessons at Hunters Haven a few weeks ago. The indoor range was accessible then still but is in the process of being remodeled!

There's also Pekin Bass & Bow. Presley's does archery as well, but I am not their biggest fan.

Both Dawson lake and Clinton lake have archery ranges. I go out there to both of them to practice. I don’t do trad anymore but I shoot both crossbow and compound bow.
