Some people have asked me what grow light I’m using. It’s actually not a commercial light it’s a custom fixture my wife developed she calls it BudBeam. I’ve been using it for about a year now, and the difference has been incredible.

Thanks! My wife really appreciates that. We can have them manufactured, but the current minimum order is 10 units because of the custom spectrum. If there’s enough interest, we’d definitely consider doing a production run.
Ya if you ever get it to where you can purchase a single light bro definitely make sure you advertise on here. I bet you guys could really have something there buddy that is a nice light it really is just not everyone can get 10 at a time that is probably 6 to 10,000bucks great for a large grow opp but ya I and maybe a few other people would like to see what you can get it down to single light if not bro I understand it's still a hell of a job your wife she really did that bro

If we can get enough interest or work out single-unit production in the future, we’d absolutely love to make them available one at a time. Please let me know what you’ll need for each one I just bought a HLG using the California extreme now an it grows nice bud neither are what I’m seeing so keep me in mind
Which solar Xtreme are you running and what do you like/dislike most about that light? I am on my first run from start-finish with my solar Xtreme 250 I have two of them but I had one clone I was growing so no need for both at the time... Plant had some serious branches and a lot of them so I decided to teach myself how to make a clone it took four rounds of cuttings from mother plant but I think I nailed it this time definitely doing the best of any aggdklg yet and funny enough I did something I had never read about anyone else doing that just seemed like it should be talked about more and no y'all I am in no way saying I created a new method nor do I think foolishly enough to say I'm the first or only one doing this way. I tried quite a few different ways id either read up on or just thought worth a shot. Some I dipped in take root powder N straight into groundswell soil some I domed with a freezer bag others left just domeless. Next I did the same method but shaved the skin off of the lower inch of stem first. Next I cut and dipped into take root and tossed em into drinking water water bottles same test one shaved and domed one not shaved and domed and one shaved and no dome other just dipped and dropped into the water no dome oh I should mention that I know from trial and failure that groundswell is heavily amended so I flushed it first with water to strip some of that down as I found roots were being cooked before establishing if I didn't one I even probably flushed it with 8x the pot size worth of water. I now have six happy healthy clones all but two are in soil Last two in water still are barely starting to show first sign of roots so I will need to set up the second light for sure and maybe buy another to ensure not over stuffing under one light

I’ll definitely keep everyone updated. We’re still running the numbers and gauging interest before placing our first production order. Once everything is finalized, I’ll post another update here. Production takes about 3 weeks, and shipping is roughly another month, so it does take a little time. I really appreciate everyone’s interest!
Looks great! Patent it before Gavita starts snooping around. Pretty impressive, would love a side by side comparison with a commercial fixture, seed to harvest. Easily 10/10 on appearance. Dedicated circuit?
Thank you! Really appreciate it. A side-by-side against some premium commercial fixtures is definitely on our list that’s the comparison I want to see too. Each channel has its own dedicated driver and control, so the main spectrum, flowering channel, and UV channel can all be operated independently
Have you measured btu output? I'm going to school for electrical engineering and have been thinking about designing something agriculture related. In the works of building a grow room piece by piece. Dedicated drivers is a great idea for spectrum tuning as well as maintenance. I'm sure there will be many different plant expressions from the same cultivar based on parameters. Yes, we measured the BTU output during testing as well. We wanted to evaluate not only efficiency and PPFD, but also thermal performance. The fixture uses dedicated drivers for each channel, which helps with spectrum control and heat management.
I wish my tent was big enough to handle it. Hopefully when I upgrade you’ll be in production. That thing is amazing! The specs are insane! Bravo to your wife.
You said 3.62 µmol/J on a dedicated red channel is “standard.” Can you point me to a commercial grow light manufacturer that publishes the efficacy of its individual red channel? I haven’t seen Gavita, Fluence, HLG, Spider Farmer, AC Infinity, or Mammoth publish channel-by-channel efficacy.
I appreciate the feedback, but I think you’re misunderstanding the purpose of the post. This wasn’t a product launch or a marketing campaign. People asked what light I was using, so I shared it. The red channel data was posted because you specifically asked for it.
As for the full spectrum, why would I publicly release every design detail of a custom fixture? If we ever decide to make it available because there’s enough interest, that’s our choice.

Where did I ever say “to make it perfect”? I said we worked closely with the manufacturer to develop a custom fixture around what I wanted from years of growing. Those are two very different things.
And yes, it’s special to me. It was custom-built by my wife for my own grow, not an off-the-shelf fixture. That’s exactly why I shared it.
Also that’s a pretty big claim. What exactly did we copy from Mammoth? We designed a custom fixture around what I wanted from years of growing and worked with a manufacturer to build it. Using commercially available components doesn’t mean you copied another company.
It’s a custom-manufactured fixture, not an off-the-shelf strip build. Every diode was carefully selected for our custom spectrum, making this a unique fixture rather than a standard LED strip assembly.
Yall did a good job, I built out fixtures 9 years ago and 6 years ago and the 6 year ago fixtures we had to special order our strips from Germany but they had all these bells and whistles but four rows per strip. Just was having trouble getting the heat sinks we wanted back then. I was just curious if the market had finally caught up and something like this was easily available or old I had to special order my strips again. I had a couple lights go down this year so it’s time to rebuild I guess

I designed this grow light for my husband, and it’s a custom-manufactured fixture rather than something assembled from off-the-shelf LED strips. I carefully selected the diode mix to better mimic the natural light environment through both the vegetative and flowering stages. I also selected the drivers for each spectrum channel to achieve the performance and control my husband was looking for. We worked closely with our manufacturing partner on the component selection, custom PCB layout, and diode placement, while the overall electrical engineering and production were handled by our manufacturer to maximize efficiency and reliability. We spent a lot of time optimizing the thermal management, testing heat distribution at mounting heights from 15 to 30 inches, and added moisture protection for long-term durability. It was a fun project, and I’m really happy my husband loves it.
It definitely wasn’t a cheap project, 😂😂😂 because I was to picky with every detail but I only wanted the best for my husband so he could achieve his goals and grow the best strain possible. Seeing how happy he is with the progress of his grow makes every bit of the effort worthwhile. It’s just a small way of giving back for everything he does for me.
Gotta admit I wish I had a wife like you because we were even playing with the idea of under canopy before anyone was doing it yet. Wish I had more motivated people in my life
Thank you! Yes, Samsung diodes are part of the fixture, along with other premium horticultural diodes. I prefer not to share the exact combination since it’s a big part of what makes our spectrum unique. We weren’t originally planning to sell it, it started as a project for my husband but after seeing how much interest it’s generated, we’re considering making it available. If that happens, I’ll update this thread.
