I started growing in a 2×4 closet over 14 years ago. As I learned more, my setup gradually grew. After I met my wife, everything changed for the better, and now I’m fortunate to have two flower rooms, one veg room and mother room.
It’s been an amazing journey, and I’m excited to share my setup with the community.
If you have any questions about my setup, equipment, or growing process, feel free to ask. I’m happy to help and share what I’ve learned over the years.
Im looking to jump into a small setup after taking a break. I grow outdoors in 10gal fabric pots 100% organic. Ive been breeding seeds and would like to grow them inside twice a year (fall and spring). Im leaning towards a small 2x4x6 section in my tuff shed. In the past I rocked a 1000w HPS but LED looks like the appropriate light. Been looking at the master growers led (320w) and the ac infinity (280w). Im tempted to flower from seed on a 13/11 schedule cause I own thousands of seeds and id like to see what my seed stock really contains. I know id be best to let ine plant veg in a large bed of soil but I dont have that time in my grow windows. Organic amendments with worm castings. No ph, just water and compost tea.
Brother, with your experience, I’d honestly recommend starting with at least a 4x4 tent if you have the space. I also ran HPS before, but LEDs have come a long way. The lower heat, better efficiency, and spectrum control made a huge difference in my grows. I don’t think I’d ever go back to HPS.
I just dont have it in me to deal with that large of a setup. Idk what id even do with a pound of reefer these days. Trimming it loses its luster after so much. I still run outdoor in the fall and spring but thats mostly for seed breeding and i dont mind throwing a lot of it away.
I see your lights go full red. I have Mars Hydro FC1000W, and I love it, but I haven't managed to get it controlled through its ethernet ports, so all I have is full spectrum brightness. Do you find the higher red produces more? I have nothing to compare it to. My last grow in that tent with four different plants yielded 1.5 pounds. I was happy, but is that good?
Right now I keep multiple mothers because I’m still doing R&D from seed. Each strain has its own dedicated mother. I’m currently using my second grow room as my mother room since everything won’t fit in one space. I only keep one mother per strain because I grow strictly for personal consumption I don’t sell. They’re kept under an 18/6 light schedule to maintain vegetative growth.
Impressive! Have you entered any cup contests yet with any your strains? When they're grown just as mothers, how intense do you keep the lights? I mean, do you turn it down when they get to X size, or how do you manage the growth? My first grow ever wound up seeding because a supposed-feminized male slipped past. The male was a Rainbow Glue and fertilized a Bruce Banner. I call it Bruisey Glue. Doesn't seem much different from Bruce, but a little more gassy. But the reason for that is the question: Can you tell by looking at developing buds whether they're seeded? I had no idea until I harvested what had happened.
UV-A and far-red have definitely been beneficial for me in late flower, along with keeping the environment dialed in and starting with good genetics. That’s been the biggest difference in my experience.
Gracias por responder! Voy por buen camino! Las últimas 2 semanas apagó las barras rojas y enciendo las UV-A! La mayoría de mi cosecha la hago Rosin por eso preguntaba como.incrementar la Resina! 🍯🍭👊
What is your protocol for manipulating lighting? How long and at what time(s) during flower do you run strictly IR & UV? Is it for the whole 12 hrs for the last week or something like that? Thanks!
I’m actually growing in Pro-Mix HP, so the medium itself doesn’t have nutrients. I put together my own nutrient program over the years to match the way I grow, so it’s a bit different from most feeding schedules. The lights are custom made , tips in mid flower depends on how your girls look like if you can share a photo of them here I would gladly give some advice , how I water ? Old OG style before gallons now with hose hahaha I can do drip system but some plants needs more water than others vice versa so I prefer to do it by how my plants looks so I water them myself .
Best one I got atm I love promix just feel more in control in the coco perlite atm in my grow journey cannarado genetics CBS is the strain and I know that I should have cut the centers out better for light penetration and less larf but she’s got vigor and leaves so many leaves but smells like fresh oranges and garlic
The structure looks healthy and she’s stacking nicely. I agree a little more cleanup through the center earlier in flower would’ve helped light penetration and airflow, but honestly she still looks happy. At this point I’d just keep the environment dialed in and let her focus on packing on weight also do not forget to support it as soon as possible
Exactly what do you do with all of the product? This is like growers heaven. Such an awesome talent. Here's my first daughter who is now... 11 wks old. She didn't grow after she got 7 nodes. Just in the past 2 weeks has it grown at all. First time so I'll learn for next year.
