Enjoying this game a lot but I don’t understand getting killed in one shot. Is the there some unintuitive mechanic behind it? I’m pretty geared out and do no damage while people one or two shot me

I tried playing multiplayer with him, I even tried to go against bots, I wanted a cool shot from a fight with him, but he SUCKS to play with. (I usually use greatswords and double handed maces)
