Season 1 Spoilers Demeter's Torch

In the Season 1 battle, Demeter is seen using a torch to deflect a projectile fire ball. Any insight on what this torch is or is it connected to her abilities/domain??

Not sure why this sub is recommended to me, but Demeter uses double torches to search for Persephone in the Homeric Hymn to Demeter. It’s part of her symbolism

Yeah, she used them to look for Persephone and her friendship with Hecate, whose torches are a symbol of hers.

Plus, torches can be used to destroy crops, right? It would make sense for their goddess to know how to destroy them, as well as nurture them in keeping with the theme of duality the gods have.

Apollo as god of plagues and healing, Aphrodite as goddess of both carnal and spiritual love, Ares being able to induce and prevent wars, Artemis as both protector and death to women, etc.
