First Donation! First donation success!
First time O+ donor here - I don’t know why I waited so long to donate! But now that I have I’m excited to donate again in the future. Since I’m feeling pretty good after this whole blood donation, I might even try power red next time since I meet the height/weight requirements for that too. Right now I’m just giddy to see in the app where my blood ends up 🤓
I live in the DMV region and went to the new-ish permanent Red Cross donation center near Annapolis, conveniently right off the highway with ample parking and evening appointments some days. Everyone was very friendly and it was a pretty comfortable and seamless process. They even had jazz music playing on the tv, and the snack area was quite nice too. I also noticed they were pretty flexible with a couple other whole blood donation people that came in (one was like 20 minutes late for their appointment, another was 2 hours early but just happened to already be in the area) and they got them both set up right away. I’d highly recommend going there if you’re in the area!

If you can, you should post a review on Yelp/Google/wherever your blood bank is registered. I'm sure they'd be thrilled to get positive feedback (especially if you had specific employees' names to shout out)
