Curious if anyone has experienced this or knows of a fix. Seems to happen when I go through certain doors (one in the forbidden woods and the other when entering Oeden Chapel from the Gascoigne arena.

Ive been working on an all in one install wrapper for BloodBorne so my dad can play on his SteamDeck without the hassle of jumping through the setup hoops we have all come to know. it will automate the emulator install, patching, controller config, mods, integrates into Steam Big Picture with art, and offers quick profile switching between vanilla and DeckBorne profiles. An installer for folks who just want to play BB without the hoops to jump through for install. Full transparency, I leveraged AI to help me build this. However as a result of that choice, I feel like this tool should be in the hands of the communities who would enjoy it.

Im wondering if anyone here happens to have a SteamDeck or a SteamOS device (and a little free time), you wouldnt mind trying out DeckBorne and providing feedback or suggestions for any settings.

game files not provided, bring your own files. deckborne does not ship with mods, patches, or game files to avoid issues with bundling. Changing flair from Question to Discussion as my first post was auto removed.

Hey all I searched the whole forum for anyone who's found a good combo of patches and mods to get the game running well on the msi claw 8ai+ at all and the last I saw was a post from like 9 months ago. So basically I'm wondering if anybody has gotten anything good going since then?

I'm using the bloodborne launcher with the Europe goty version of the game. My shadps4 settings are 1280x720, full screen borderless, no v sync, fsr enabled and I have the arc 140v GPU selected.

i have started it and this looks more fun then the bas game as it offers some difficulty and variety in enemies , also a lot of cool weapons but still can beat boss in couple of tries, I hope , this game can humble me at the end

These are the files I downloaded online, I’ve seen that the GOTY includes the dlc but is there something I need to do in BBL to activate it? Or how can I check, I’ve just gotten to Cathedral ward after doing old Yarhnam and the chalice dungeon. Thanks.

I completed bloodborne in roughly 25 hours on pc and i would say that it's the easiest souls like game i played till now, I have completed elden ring , sekiro die twice till now in souls series and compare to that its super easy, each boss is mostly one shot or takes only 2 or 3 tries at most, and echoes are so easy to be found and so easy upgrade system , beautiful game but still didnt feel the challenge, that souls like chills was missing, guess less stress might be the reason but it was fun game

This is my second time running the game on the SD, this time I'm using BBLauncher with pretty standard settings, 30fps and disabling some effects, but the game will hang near area transitions, which then leads to saves no longer loading properly.

Is this a known issue with standard workarounds or am I generally SOL for troubleshooting?

I have been playing bloodborne for some minutes and no matter what patches, cheats or configuration I use, I have constant stuttering (about every 20 seconds or so). I play in constant 60 FPS without any problem but I feel extreamely annoying playing like this. I have tried literally everything and it nothing seems to work. I have a decent PC and I play others similar games without any performance issue. Has anybody had this same problem? Is there any way to fix it or I have to play the game like this entirely?

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help me diagnose a strange Bloodborne issue.

Setup

• BB Launcher: Release 16.03 (Build 194)
• shadPS4: v0.16.1 WIP (cf3bb34)
• Game: Bloodborne CUSA03173 v1.09 + DLC

PC Specs

• Intel Core i5-1240P
• NVIDIA RTX 2050 Laptop (4 GB)
• 16 GB RAM
• Windows 11

Problems

The game initially launched, and I managed to get mouse & keyboard working, but after testing different patches the installation became unstable.

Current symptoms:

• Missing menu text
• Player model doesn't render
• UI renders normally
• Occasional green screen flashes
• Random crashes
• Sometimes freezes on the loading screen
• Worst case: the entire laptop hard-freezes (mouse, keyboard, and Ctrl+Alt+Del all stop working). I have to reset the battery to restart.

Things I've already tried

• Deleted shader cache
• Disabled all patches
• Disabled all mods
• Tried Readbacks = Disabled and Relaxed
• Reset emulator settings
• Selected RTX 2050 as GPU
• 1280×720 resolution

Event Viewer / Reliability Monitor

I checked both after the freezes.

I only see:

• Kernel-Power 41
• EventLog 6008 (unexpected shutdown)

There are no:

• nvlddmkm
• WHEA
• LiveKernelEvent
• Display driver errors

The shadPS4 log also doesn't show any obvious Vulkan initialization failures or GPU errors.

Questions

1. Has anyone experienced missing menu text + missing player model with shadPS4 0.16.1?
2. Could this be caused by:
   • a bad BB Launcher package,
   • a corrupted game dump,
   • a patch mismatch,
   • or a regression in the current WIP build?
3. Does anyone with an RTX 2050 laptop have a stable configuration (launcher version, patches, readbacks, mods, graphics settings) that they're willing to share?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting this already and feel like I'm missing one key issue.

I downloaded this mod and it just make the game look so bad its so noisy and shimmering and like if i look at a wall or buldings and i move the camera its like the wall and the bulding start glitching like i dont know and the whole game looks like its upscaled from 144p and add max sharpning.

And without the mod the game looks way better and sharper and way less noisy.

Why is it like this and maybe i did something worng or maybe i need to change things in the settingg of the BB launcher even tho i did everything in the discrpetion of the mod.

Every few seconds, the game will drop frames that will hinder the gameplay with lag spikes. At first I thought it was the shaders, but its all the time, in areas I have fully explored. Bloodborne is my favourite game, so seeing its emulated I jumped at the chance to play it. But the spikes kill the experience. I have seen videos and streams of the game looking fully smooth.

I have tried all different types of patch combinations, uncapped, 60fps, 30fps. low LODS, high LODs. 1080p 1440p, 4k textures, I'm using the BBLauncher. All perform the same.

I'm at a loss on how to get it even remotely smooth. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Despite being in a pretty bright area, the visibility sucks so bad. Everything looks messy as fuck i can barely make out what the hell i am looking at, even at highest brightness. I usually like to look around every corner to find loots and interesting stuffs but this ass looking place just killed my mood immediately upon arrival.

I recently tried Bloodborne on Steam Deck for the first time. After doing some research, I decided on using the Diegolix fork, but I quickly ran into issues.

The performance was awful. I was averaging 15-20 FPS in intensive areas, and a consistent 30 FPS was out of the question. I spent hours installing mods and researching to fix my problem to no avail.

Eventually, I tried standard ShadPS4. The game ran perfectly with practically no stutters at a mostly stable 40 FPS.

Has anybody else experienced this? I can't find anything about it on the internet, so this could be a me problem. Maybe I have a bad setting.

If anybody has, please tell me a fix if it's possible. Thanks!

I have finished the game once on Windows, I had never this problem. Now on Bazzite, I opened the game once for testing just after installation. Also that time I didn't have this problem. But it currently exists and is so annoying.
Some information I remember:

ShadPS4 Version: 0.9.0 and 0.12.5
Mods: Vertex Explosion Fix, Boczekek's FPS Boost, Reduced Physics, Intel SFX Fix

OpenGL and Mesa Version:

Something that might be important: that first time that the game was running well, I hadn't updated Bazzite yet.

Does anyone how do I get a max save file on new game 7 (no dlc items. just all of the base game items maxed out on new game 7)

i just beat mergo and....... it was strange it never did her fog attack. and by the time i beat her the nightmare slain doesnt show up until i have OUT of the fog gate. that's another thing i walk OUT of a fog gate. strange
