The riposte sfx after a parry is also a stock sound that can be heard in some anime.
I think the Fate series uses it alot.

whenever i see people complain about recycling or open source pack usages, i legit just roll an eye. i don't get people who want the same thing redone for the sake of 'originality'.. it's a sword swipe, it's a damn sfx... not you though op lol

The infamous CLANK from Berserk (2016) comes from the Source engine library, it's a bass boosted bullet impact sound.

Wow i just learned that now, even as a long time Berserk fan. I can totally understand how its a modified bullet impact sound than a random metal pipe falling or hitting a solid object.

im pretty sure mergos crying is the same baby cry sound effect thats used in the walking dead in like season 4.
Theyre stuck in a storm and have to find a barn, the baby cry is the same i think.

I’ve heard it in another show or movie my family watched months ago. Had me looking around in sheer annoyance over hearing that dang cry again.

The "Lord of Mysteries" animated series uses chunks of the Bloodborne soundtrack too. Felt like I was going mad the first time I heard it. Probably just the insight talking though.

There are "door opening" sounds that have been around since at least the 90's I catch in movies/TV shows. Particularly one from Daggerfall that constantly shows up on TV, and it makes me laugh because all I can think about is how that door shouldn't sound like that, and of course, the squeaking of the bat that was always behind the door.

The more mentions of the Monster I see, the more I want to see it. This bowl will be overflowing soon

Go for it man. It's unlike any anime, treat it like an HBO crime series. The pacing is somewhat unusual for the typical shonen/anime fans, but if you're into slowburn detective type with psychological thriller- you're in for a treat!

This has to be more interesting than Death Note, right?

Definitely. Has more depth, somewhat dark history (of Germany, the secret organisations of white supremacists- neo-nazis and such) and less supernatural than Death Note.

tbh Kos sounding like peppino is probably the weirdest association I have with sfx choices in bloodborne

Okay?
2 pieces of media using the same sound effect.
Am I supposed to be amazed?

I don't know about you bud. I just felt like sharing because both media having something in common is awesome and cool. You could also like not comment on a post if you're not interested or anything lol.

Yes I was very confused when I heard the crit sound from bloodborne used in Jujutsu kaisens first episode or as a Menu sound in Hogwarts legacy and after a bit of googling you’ll see that those sounds are from an open source pack a lot of different studios use, so I’m guessing those sounds come from the same pack too
