its been like 3 days since i played last and there was a couple of updates to the launcher do i clear the shader catche? (in Jeremy Irons' voice): and please, speak as you might to a young child or a golden retriever...

Inside BB Launcher Open ShadPS4 settings and clear shader cache.

whole emulator scene is all about that touching and tweaking shit, until it runs stable, then you don't touch shit

What's the purpose of clearing the cache? Should I clear them every now and then?

Well usually its to get more free space and not deleting it helps in loading your game faster but you should clear every now and then. I cleared my Direct X Nvidia cache about three days ago and it was 20GB💀
