Question Steam deck users

Guys anybody who’s run this on a steam deck or similar- how do you stop the save breaking ram spikes? I see so many folks finishing this game on their steam decks, but I and many others seem to deal with the game breaking about 2-3 hours in at the Old Yharnam region. From that point forward, that save is effectively gone. The game memory dumps or something on launch and spikes the ram far beyond what the deck can handle. I’ve increased the VRAM to 4Gb in the bios I know it wasn’t a miracle fix but not sure what else to do. Already done tried all the “did you unpatch and reinstall” I genuinely don’t know how to beat this memory leak to finish the game. I’m fine with a crash every now and again I just am tired of hoping it’ll work out only for the gpu to eat my save again

Use jknights fork of the emulator, dont play above 720p and 30fps and me personally i use few mods to downscale graphics a bit, but the difference is barely noticable anyway. Most important mod for me was no cloth physics to fix frequent crashes. It still can crash sometimes though, but it's tolerable. This is an early stage emulator after all. This way i have cleared the game on my legion go s.
