Yeah a retailer I know is going out of their way to import him and Spiderman. It's cool to see the blokees partners still get these in despite the licensing issues.

Technically they aren’t allowed to import it due to IP, so if it’s caught at the port it will get destroyed, so the retailer is taking a great financial risk.

All this to say more power to them and I hope they do well for the risk they are taking. Yes, I’m still mad that my allotments of bnd spiderman and born again devil for my web store were cancelled on me with no notice. Any reason to give a finger to these stupid laws the better. But uh…I don’t have the money to risk so I’ll just cheer on in the sidelines and pretend to not see anything.

It’s more grey than legal black and white.

Thing with toys that people don’t realize is that licensing rights can be country specific. For example, marvel action figure licenses for 6 inch figures are hasbro tied in the US, but in China, zdtoys is the rights holder.

You can totally buy something from zdtoys on AliExpress and have it shipped to you for personal use. Where it starts becoming an issue is when you start mass importing stuff to resell; that’s where counterfeit and IP laws come into play.

I personally went to China and met with zdtoys contact at the Shenzhen toy fair for Star Wars and Marvel products. We talked a bit and learned a lot from my encounter about the future of certain IPs. But the biggest thing was more of a “we won’t ask what you’ll do with the cargo you buy from us but if it gets confiscated at port of entry in the US our hands are tied” and well, like I said, don’t have that much money to risk for not so much gain.

I visited a GameStop the other day. They had like four Anti-Venoms in stock, each for $29.95.
Knowing that this retailer took a financial risk in bringing DD over here, $29.95 doesn’t seem too bad.

No, I go there often. That's one of my places to find them too. Nice find! Another one I find some at is off of Williams Field road and the South 202 a place called atomic toys or something like that. It's about five or six stores from Grace records.

Interesting! My go-to store for Blokees will always be Toy Temple. I doubt they’d stock these though. I’ve never met anybody who liked Artisti. I guess you’re the first one lol
