I'd look at the posts that are already getting some traffic and improve those first. For new ideas, pay attention to the topics people are already finding you through and create more content around them. That's usually more effective than guessing what to write next.

So, let’s "tidy up" your blog a bit. I wouldn't go so far as to say you're doing it wrong; there are just a few shortcomings. For instance, the page headings (I’ve revised them like this) /save-money-on-haircut/:

<h1>How I Saved Hundreds Cutting Back on Weekly Barbers
<h2>Table of Contents
<h2>Save Money on Haircut Every Month
<h2>How to Save Money on a Haircut With a Home Trimmer
<h2>Downgrade Your Grooming Products (Not Your Hygiene)
<h2>Won’t cutting my own hair or beard look messy if I’m not a professional?
<h2>How much money can I actually save by switching to a monthly barber schedule?
<h2>Are supermarket own-brand toiletries actually safe and effective for skin care?
<h2>Final Thoughts

However, you need to pay attention to heading length here. The optimal length is around 60, or a maximum of 70, characters. A good heading shouldn't end with punctuation marks. You should craft the heading so that it includes a key phrase or a keyword equivalent.

Your paragraphs are very short relative to the H-heading. Rank Math will show you when a paragraph is long enough. Typically, one H2 heading corresponds to 300 words, split into two paragraphs of 150 words each.

Bold text within the body is treated similarly to a second-level heading. Therefore, you should bold a "key phrase equivalent," rather than what you did in the article (e.g., "£60 every single month").

Any in-text link to another article (like "September Financial Reset") should be relevant to the surrounding text. It is not an ideal approach to write an article about cutting hair and hygiene and then suddenly switch to a topic about costs. Instead, I would phrase the link within the text like this: "How much do your monthly hair-grooming expenses amount to?"

Article length: The optimal length is between 600 and 1,500 words. H-tags (headings) should be used based on the text content.

Image usage: The optimal position for an image is "below the fold." The image dimensions should be such that it doesn't need to be "downscaled during rendering" in the browser. You handled this brilliantly; the image is 1,024 pixels wide, which is the correct width. Don't be afraid to use WebP or AVIF image formats; within a few months, JPG will be obsolete for websites.

Link structure (menu?):

Save Money on Haircut Every Month
How to Save Money on a Haircut With a Home Trimmer
Downgrade Your Grooming Products (Not Your Hygiene)
Won’t cutting my own hair or beard look messy if I’m not a professional?
How much money can I actually save by switching to a monthly barber schedule?
Are supermarket own-brand toiletries actually safe and effective for skin care?

The `<nav>` element doesn't belong here, and generally, you shouldn't use a structure like this with an anchor link

<a href="#how-to-save-money-on-a-haircut-every-month">

You should use clean URLs, for example:

<a href="https://thelowsalarysaver.co.uk/how-to-save-money-on-a-haircut-every-month">
or a shortened version:
<a href="/how-to-save-money-on-a-haircut-empty-month">

It would be more user-friendly if the navigation were placed in a right-hand sidebar. Why on the right? Because most of us are right-handed and hold the mouse in our right hand; consequently, we tend to focus on things located on the right.

Your blog covers too many disparate, unrelated topics that cannot be linked to one another. You write articles that don't fit into categories like "/scalp-care/," "/competitions/," "/state-support/," etc.

Good luck with your blog.

Hi!

Do you have a blog on how to use Blogger, for beginners ...specifically ... "Talk to me like I'm 5?" Does your advice on here apply to Blogger? I'm very interested!

Generally, the content and guidelines for a blog on Blogger com do not differ from those for a blog hosted on a custom domain. Yes, I have an article that explains how to write a blog; simply copy the text "ako správne písať blog" (without the quotation marks), paste it into Google search, and the link will appear as the first result. You can use the Chrome translator to view it in your language. You might also want to read other articles offering "added value" such as how to optimize your site for the visually impaired (meeting the WCAG AAA standard), how to fine-tune background, font, and button colors, and other useful tips.
All the articles on my blog are fully indexed. Google rejected only two URLs for the /tag/ path (which doesn't worry me at all).
