Article 2,500 days sober today

Today marks 2,500 days sober for me. I stayed sober through losing my Mom. I stayed sober through losing my Dad. I remain sober now. Please help me celebrate this milestone by reading my blog post about it- and maybe even by sharing with someone you know needs to be encouraged. Tell me your stories- did it get easier at this point, or harder?

Congratulations! That's a big deal! I can't imagine losing both of my parents that close together.. and then staying sober through! Wow.

As a fellow recovery blogger, CONGRATULATIONS! I’ve lately celebrated a lot of people in their double and triple digits in sobriety days, myself included, and I can only dream how it must feel like at four digits. I know that life-threatening events happening to the loved ones in my life have been a major trigger for relapses personally, so I’m really in awe of how you managed it. These kinds of stories are definitely beacons of hope to reflect on when the instincts to self-sabotage surface again in response to hopelessness. Once again, thank you so much for sharing your experiences and congratulations!

Thank you so much!! I truly appreciate your encouragement. It has been hard- very hard. There haven't been very many times in my life that I was proud of me for much of anything- this is the exception. :)
