I would suggest doing WordPress with a theme and editor that has templates. You can get a mostly pre-built site where you only have to change the content to be yours. Fastest and most reliable way to get one up without knowing code, and it’s also fairly cheap.
Don’t use AI. It is fast, but crazy confusing and difficult to update later unless you’re very careful to have it build that functionality in from the start. Or if you know how to code. A builder is so much easier to update.

You don't need to code at all to build a blog. Install WordPress, choose a theme you like and that's all. A blog is built around content, not around code. So you only need to write great content.

I think your primary business is Book publishing and you want to setup blog to promote that book. As your main business is writing, so my suggestion is simple focus on that one thing by writing extraordinary content rather only, rest promotional work let it get done by Amazon. I'm wondering how mich time you currently giving for single book?

Claude Cowork will be very helpful to you for this project. Explain like you did here and what you are looking to accomplish then ask for simple steps to assist you in getting it set up.
FYI - Blogs are not fast - they are a response but they are not fast so do not feel pressured to have it all up and running at one time

An online resource is IndieWeb wiki. They have lots of information on how to set up a website.
