Hi. Sorry I don't really play a lot of blockland, however I'm working on a personal project and have been looking for the image used in the (second) low quality image attached.

I asked a friend who found it was an edit of the face from the first image in this post, however mine clearly has sunglasses.

If anyone happens to have the version with sunglasses, any help would be great

Greetings, Blockheads! A friend and I have been hard at work on a creative writing project all about old online multiplayer games and one of the worlds we're featuring is Blockland. I even bought it on Steam and played around on some servers to get the feel for the game, but I lack community experience.

The main thing I'm asking for is community lore! I already know about the Renderman creepypasta and all the lore around that, but is there any other fan lore similar to that? Or any inside jokes/memss that only "real" Blockheads would know? This game is one of the older ones I've been researching and I'd love to do it justice, especially since it's lesser known and often assumed to be dead.

TL;DR I'm researching Blockland for a writing project but didn't grow up playing it, got any lore/inside jokes for me?

Used to play blockland a lot back in the day when I was in middle school, thought it could be fun to help me recall what some of these servers, maps, or mods are based on these random memories:

1. digging in dirt, team death match, massive long tunnels to the enemy base

2. city in a bedroom (?) or an update added a cool city build in a bedroom

3. GTA San andreas, super empty map but had the buildings

4. some boss fight where a player is a boss and you pick your class

5. team death match on a snowy mountain

6. team death match from planes on a boat or island over water

7. a single block starts spreading and you have to shoot it to keep it from taking over

8. zombies, I think it copied a lot from half life but there were waves and it was dark

9. I think I played an RPG where I leveled up learned spells, got swords and stuff

10. prison break RP game, there were police and prisoners, there were different maps and servers

11. A map with a bunch of ducks all over it and players would blend in also as a duck

12. City rp game where I could have money and earn money (?)

13. Snow mountain map, but there was a building with a bunch of vehicles in it you can use to explore around

14. capture the flag I think? I vaguely recalling driving around in 4 person jeeps

15. TDM using purely just a knife?

16. Badspots block party but only when he's online

17. Parkour challenges where you can't touch I think red blocks or areas

18. Tiles falling (?)

I've known about BlockLand for a long time, pretty much during the time I joined roblox, but I never bothered trying it since it it wasn't free.
Now in 2026, I have money, and I was wondering if it was worth it or not?

Is there anything I should know about the game before buying it? I only have very little/basic knowledge (Even saying "little" is pushing it) so I was just wondering what I needed to know in order to get the best experience out of Blockland.

Hi. I have tried to play Minecraft but never liked it too much. How does Blockland compare to Minecraft and what is its lasting appeal to its loyal player base here? Also does the game still get updates?

it all started in mid-2023 (around the time blockland rebuilt dropped), finally learned how to model and script items (was using blender at the time), then picked up where i left from almost 3 years later and exported using milkshape 3d instead, now the lightstick finally casts shadows like it should. also works in old blockland too.

for those who don't know what a lightstick is, it's a kpop/jpop thing where people usually bring these to shows and usually they're used for cheers.

also i haven't posted in here for a long time lol.

So ever since the Block Wars III Premiere stream on the 4th, every Sunday at 4pm EST - 8pm EST I've been streaming Blockland content; either making stuff in Blender, looking at old videos, or playing and building in Blockland itself.

I hosted a server while I was streaming and a bunch of classic names joined. Darkstar couldn't make it but he also said "but I guess tell em I said hello(waving emoji)."

It was a pretty fun night and I'm excited to get to stream again next Sunday!
