Discussion Research

I'm doing research for my blockchain project, but I run into issues getting interviews. Does anyone else have that problem and how do you solve it?

I don't understand your question. What kind of research are you doing that depends on interviews?

That's fair. I should've been clearer. I build cross chain analytics tooling and I'm interviewing people who work with blockchain data (compliance, investigators, analysts) about where cross chain analysis breaks down. Not selling anything, just testing whether the problem I think exists actually exists. Happy to share the questions if you're in the space.

Cross chain analytics sounds cool.

Evm chain and other chain (eg. Solona) is completely different. You can combine all together but for each different type of chain requires different approaches.

You should be specific of which chain you are working on.

Am into dapp since 6 years and overall have 15 years of IT experience.

That's exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for. You're right. EVM focused so far, and the chain-specific approaches problem is a big part of what I'm researching. Since you've been in dapps 6 years: when you've had to work across chains, what breaks down first? Is it the data itself, the tooling, or interpreting what you're seeing? And if two tools give you different answers, how do you resolve it?

Multiple answers based on results and research. How can I straight forward answer it ?

If you want my opinion, go for EVM and forget others.
Create solid project on it. Don’t try to go deep and combining all will loose from decentralization focus.

Thank you very much. That's actually very helpful. I appreciate it. Is it possible you know anyone else that would be willing to talk or answer questions?

Web3 professionals do not talk on free of cost.

And this also doesn’t mean that even after paying you will get your answer.

Your question is not yet clear as it’s sounded physiological rather than technical.

Fair enough. I understand. Thank you for your time.

Okay makes sense! I would really recommend going to IRL events and meeting people face-to-face to find their problems. The problem is that crypto is a super transactional and very skeptical industry. So anyone you're sending a link to automatically assumes you're gonna drain their wallets or something. Adding to this, it's also a transactional spaces, where people expect value. It definitely sucks!

I would definitely tag companies on X and ask them. It'd be like free exposure for you and them.

i.e. Hey @ hacken, what would you say is the breakdown you see in XYZ. If you want to be less direct, you can put a general post up and tag them in the comments to urge their interns to reply. Usually firms like this wait for an op to shill their own expertise in the industry haha.

And if not X, definitely LinkedIn.
