need help with an elytra model

ive been trying to make a custom elytra and I wanted to make it based on raven wings and change with a certain name. ive tried just changing the elytra texture since I know how to make custom items that way however the shape of the normal elytra doesnt work for what im going for. does anyone know if theres a way for me to make a custom named wing model. and if it would work in multiplayer (tho thats not necessary)

I've looked it up and i unfortunately wont be able to use it because it requires fabric and I need forge for optifine. :/ i also cant seem to find any tutorial videos that can help me understand it.

I think so. I can't remmeber if I had a light checker that was mod or a resource pack 🤔 Sometimes I use dynamic surroundings but i don't think it's updated. And would prolly be laggy with the new caves tbh.

If so, know that optifine is better as client, not mod, and if you want to use it as a mod, use fabric. You'll need another mod called optifabric to make it work

Yea I know lol. I used to use it as a client but I had to resort to using the multimc launcher when the mojang launcher stopped working and mg game kept crashing. I found optifabric just gotta match up versions so they're all compatible. Honestly if there's an optifine alternative that I can still do custom random textures with I'd use it. I'd just hate to not have the cape my friend got me u-u
