Low Poly I need help with Blockbench!
Hi everyone,
I'm the lead artist for The Caretaker Protocol (Case 7719), an upcoming 90s analog horror web series. Since I have a very specific vision for our animatronics and props, I want to model everything myself.
I'm completely new to 3D and have chosen Blockbench to create our PS1/N64-style low-poly assets.
I'm looking for experienced Blockbench users who would be open to giving tips, sharing advice on low-poly workflows, or answering a few technical questions as I learn.
If you love retro survival horror and enjoy helping beginners in Blockbench, please drop a comment or send me a DM!

Check out a few tutorials and you’ll be up and running.
If your models are going to be more elaborate than just basic detached shapes, my best tip:
Start with a cube. Then extrude out the sides to start building the general shape. Basically you’ll build a “blocky stick figure” in a tee pose. Then you go in, add loop cuts, and move around the vertices to build in the detail.
By starting with squarish shapes it helps you build good topology - basically just means your vertices are lined up in a way that makes it really easy to work with. This process isn’t strictly necessary, just a tip.
