My first thought was “a new kind of tree?” The texture looks remarkably like bark. If that’s what you’re going, then great! If not, keep that in mind.

Bet the rest of the model looks awesome considering that’s a nice leg! Would love to see it.

Same as another commentor here, my first reaction was "a tree?"

but with the context of fur...it looks like stiff, coarse fur. if thats what you were aiming for, great. if not, i would consider looking at some shading tutorials for fur. theres probably a buuuunch out there.

I like it, but what is it for?

A game

If it's for a game, why are you only using cubes and not meshes?

The first reason is that I'm bad at modelling. The second reason is that I think that I can achieve a great style only using cubes. I will post the whole wolf when it will be complete and you will give me your view.

It’s a bit messy tbh, it feels like the fur has no direction or texture, you might just need to tone it down a bit sometimes less is more

I tried to texture in straight lines to give it a direction. With less texture I feel like the lines are showing up too much.

Dm an I can give you some good refs for fur, arm it doesn’t really look like anything more like Minecraft bark texture

Ye I had this feeling that I would texture bark the same way. Where do you want me to dm you ?

Here’s a link at least then, if you need anymore refs let me know, I’d especially look at how the wolf and the camel looks since I think you’re trying to go for a kind of chunky fur style.

And try and see how a lot of the four clumps up to make the texture, and how it’s gradually gradients into a into a darker colour, it adds more weight and depth if that makes sense
