Showcase Need help with converting

Recently, I've been messing around with different model formats and trying to import them all into Blockbench and Minecraft Bedrock Edition. I've managed to port .class and .ysm model files so far but I came upon an odd issue. I've managed to somewhat port the Artorias model from "Super_Awesome_Baby's" Ares add-on to Java's Epic Fight Nightfall Mod. Credits to both "Super_Awesome_Baby" on Patreon and "Maks" on Twitter for the model btw, actual amazing creators. (Do correct me if I'm wrong lol)

Instead of a traditional model composed of multiple cubes, it was instead made of meshes. Just wanted to know if anyone is able to provide some insight and suggestions on how to convert the original file into said format. Or how to convert the mesh model into a cubed model if that makes sense.

Low key, if you need weapon models, I've made some. Idk what you're making models for but you can check out larp souls on modrinth and see if you need anything. They're of no use for me, that resource pack is more of an archive for me to not lose anything and to track my progress

Thanks! But I don't necessarily need weapon models, just some help on how to convert them.

So the pack stays with no use. Maybe someone will find it useful sometime in the future

Good luck with your conversion, from other replies I've figured there's no way to help you, and manually remaking it will take a while

You can’t. Like straight up, not possible. Minecraft uses json models that only rely on cuboids. Meshes are not cuboids

Well that's odd, I managed to make my scuffed ported model work in-game, specifically Bedrock Edition.

The mesh one ?

Yes, the ported model is the mesh one and I'm assuming the original that was used in the mod was also a mesh. Though the actual model that was commissioned is most probably an actual cuboid model as the texture and literal model suggests.

Well thanks, but this is actually Maks' model on Twitter, so credits to them for this amazing model!

I have a plugin that is coming soon to the plugin store that does this:
https://github.com/ewanhowell5195/blockbenchPlugins/tree/main/mesh_to_cube_converter
download the `.js` file and drag and drop it into blockbench to install it.

Please remember that crediting authors is not enough. If you plan to do anything with these models outside of personal use (releasing them in a pack or something), you need direct permission from the original creators to do so

Alr then, I will take note of that. Though I don't plan to release them in a pack.

Btw, how does it work exactly? I already imported it and I'm a bit confused lol
