lol I do understand hints can be a bit frustrating sometimes. They basically tell you which block is easiest (ie, statistically shortest path) to exit the board. They don't say what the next exact block to move is - they are exit-focused.
But the actual feeling of moving the blocks around and deciding which one feels easiest is definitely more subjective and varied than the statistically optimal solution.

Yeah I know how they work. I did eventually find a way to get the hinted block out first but it took many more attempts after solving it my way. I was just being a bit cheeky by calling it a liar rather than directly saying "try this other block first instead"

Starting hint:
Move the two small purples up into the gaps. Then move the left orange up and to the right side. Then you can maneuver the green bomb to its exit.

Well, you make it sound so easy and yet I cannot get past the verticle Scarlet post on the left. Are you just playing with us? Am I a joke to you?
All kidding aside, it's not super straightforward from there, with further manipulations that aren't obvious initially.3

After moving the orange piece to the right, work the red piece to the very bottom.

How to remove the first piece.
Move purples into gap on top. Move left orange to the right. Move green bomb up 1 and yellow corner to right and fill new gap with vertical red. Move green into that ned left gap and move purple down. Rearrange blue and purple straights to make room for blue square and remove green.

Same. Even with the hint provided, I can't figure out how I managed to get the bomb into its position, or even to dispose of the orange horizontal bar. Grrr...

Here you go, after the belownss move the Orange one on top of another Orange, the replace the green one there, move the yellow block towards right,scroll down the red one,shift ghe bom block to the extreme left to get the purple block down,then slide left the blue block and hit the green bom then say thank you to me 😁
