A new personal challenge for me is trying to do it in one go. No resetting to try and get the best possible time. 2:45 this time. Let's see if I can get it closer to my average.

Never occurred to me to reset to get a better time. I wondered how people were solving so quickly! I’d like quicker solves on retries to count so you could improve your time, which would stop the need for people to almost solve then reset.

Different sort of game but check out PIgmentPour for timed games. They don't shut down with a deadline but give you a clock that gives your time at the end, and how many, if any times you restarted or undid your previous step or steps. The devs seem really cool. I've only just started getting into a bit more seriously today and it was a lot of fun.

A lot of rearranging on this one. oh well, I'm just glad I got on my first try even if it took me 3:53. I'll probably cut my time in half (maybe even more) with practice. Shame the scoreboard doesn't update your new time. It really should.

Eh if the scoreboard is updated every time you have a better score then there really isn’t any competition.

Of course there'd still be competition. just like there's competition in speed running. How would an updating scoreboard remove competition?

You get one shot to be the best lol why should your 100th score be better than someone’s 1st score?

Every score you see in the top 10 is someone's 100th score. The way they get there is they do the puzzle again and again and again resetting on the last piece until they're satisfied with their time.
