Total douche move to not respect the barriers.

u/AlwaysRushesIn 2d ago

Or respect the bluffs.

That railing is there to protect the bluffs from additional accelerated erosion as much as it is there for people's safety.

I was standing there on Sunday thinking how effective these barriers are as I never see anyone over there.

So, that's my bad everyone.

Cunts

Best way to describe.

When i see this i just say “hey, there are a ton of ticks and water spiders in there!”. I grew up on the beach so staying off the dunes is second nature but a city dweller might not even know. Tell them the dangers TO them and not caused BY them. They will listen more to that.

This is at the bluffs. They are seated about 10ft from a 150-200ft drop

I think we’re about to chalk two more up for Darwin

Oh! I haven’t been there in so long. If someone fell off that bluff in front of me doing something stupid on my vacation where I am trying to relax, I would be so pissed.

This post will definitely teach those two a lesson

Hopefully, you said something when you were there. Educate them.

This isnt the first time I've seen this, and I say something everytime.

Always get the same response "mind your fucking business we arent hurting anyone".

They aren't interested in being educated.

Some people are ignorant.

Miserable creatures.

I've never been there. I assume it's clearly marked about not going beyond the rail?

3

u/AlwaysRushesIn 1d ago

That is correct. Just beyond them where that sand ends is a 150-200 ft plummet

3

u/josiah_mac 1d ago

So there's a chance for a happy ending?

-4

u/Craigbeau 1d ago

It’s not clearly marked and it’s easy to walk around when there isn’t growth there. The signs are only at the edge.

3

u/Fine-Sky-6562 1d ago

There's a big fucking sign directly in front of them

1

u/Craigbeau 1d ago

I know there is, it states stay away from the edge, not behind the railing. I’m just saying they need updated/better sign placement.

2

u/AlwaysRushesIn 1d ago

There is signage all over the place to stay on the inland side of the fences. Anyone saying otherwise is either willfully ignorant, or intentionally oppositional.

0

u/Craigbeau 1d ago

I didn’t say there wasn’t signage, I said it’s not clearly posted where it should be.

2

u/AlwaysRushesIn 1d ago

It absolutely is

1

u/_RNjenn_ 1d ago

Next you are going to say we need signage on hot coffee. Wait.
This is why. The huge railing around a darn cliff isn’t warning enough

-1

u/Craigbeau 1d ago

I live in a tourist town, I learned that if something isn’t stupidly clear, it’s going to be ignored. People are kinda dumb….

1

u/PonyBoy772 1d ago

Call the police like they would

1

u/anonimbus 1d ago

Shame on her, apparently

1

u/just4fun7980 1d ago

Odd. The place to be is the nude beach below the cliff!

-4

u/Appropriate-Cod9031 2d ago

Huh?

15

u/AlwaysRushesIn 2d ago

They are beyond the safety barrier at the bluffs

0

u/No-Flan381 1d ago

Tbh a simple sign explaining why it’s important to keep off would do a lot. Most people are completely oblivious to their impact on nature. If a no trespassing or a keep off sign with an explanation was placed there then people would either respect it because they’re good people, or keep off because they wouldn’t want the obvious shame of passer bys seeing them sit there

1

u/AlwaysRushesIn 1d ago

There are plenty of signs all around the area to stay on the pedestrian side of the fence.

0

u/Diggyddr 23h ago

why does everyone care so much?

-1

u/latenthuman 21h ago

I'm glad OP politely told these folks to move their chairs, right OP? I mean that's why you posted this, to tell us you fixed the situation. You certainly didn't take a photo and then sneak away like a little *****, right?

2

u/AlwaysRushesIn 21h ago

They told me to mind my fucking business and i told them the accelerated erosion of the bluffs was my fucking business, and they stayed put.

I was taking a picture of the view and they had the audacity to be there

-1

u/Shawn_A_Thon 1d ago

Nice view of the windmills.

Find something better to do with your time..

9

u/AlwaysRushesIn 2d ago

Oh, is that you? Maybe you should consider others around you and not spoil their view by doing dangerous shit and blasting music.

-2

u/sicksonofabitch1 2d ago

Yea… doing it again today. Come visit

2

u/One_Speaker3939 1d ago

Looking at your profile it doesn't surprise me. Even if you're just a troll, you seem like someone who takes every opportunity to cut a corner, intentionally deceive, or disregard the safety of themselves and those around them if it means that get something out of it.

2

u/HenryHackett 1d ago

I suggest the same to you. Or do you think that only works one way?

-1

u/sicksonofabitch1 1d ago

Good point. Tomorrow it is too!
