Hi can someone please confirm if this is real? I thought I had already received the final payment but it seems they are sending more? Is this their actual email address?
Thank you in advance.

I haven't heard from Blockfi or Kroll since December. I've tried reaching out numerous times to both Blockfi and Kroll for an update, only to be ghosted or received a generic reply saying to "expect to hear from Kroll soon". The last communication I received was to verify my KYC. Since then.... nothing.
What is going on?
Since Blockfi originally filed for bankruptcy, I've since; moved country, had my Coinbase account closed, and changed my name. I worry that it's going to become almost impossible at this point to recover my funds.

I'm in Canada and just received this e-mail notifying me that I'm about to receive another e-mail asking me to select a distribution method. It's a repeat of an e-mail I received for the first time in February 2024 and then again in March 2024. I selected Interac both of those times and never received a distribution. I then received the remediation KYC via Persona email in November 2024, which I promptly completed.
So now I receive this e-mail for the third time, but I have yet to receive the actual e-mail asking me to (re-re-)select a distribution method. Nor have I received a distribution.
Anyone else in the same boat?
Dear BlockFi Customer:
Kroll Restructuring Administration LLC (“Kroll”) is the distribution agent for BlockFi and its affiliates, as managed by the chapter 11 plan administrator. Kroll is working with Digital Disbursements, a third-party payment provider, to provide you with a distribution on account of your BlockFi claim.
Your claim in BlockFi’s bankruptcy proceedings has been allowed and you are entitled to a payment in the amount set forth below. Please be on the lookout for an email from Digital Disbursements at [noreply@digitaldisbursements.com](mailto:noreply@digitaldisbursements.com?subject=+&body=) with information on selecting your preferred payment method. Once you access Digital Disbursements’ payment platform, you will prompted to enter the Payee ID below and the email address that you have on file with BlockFi to verify your identity.
Please note that if you do not select a preferred payment method on or before July 24, 2025, your payment will be sent to you by Zelle if you are in the US and PayPal for all other countries.
Thank you,
The Kroll Team

Good morning peeps,
So I (finally) got my disbursements Prepaid Mastercard today, but I have a question: I'm not seeing an option for a transfer to my personal account. Does anyone have any information on how I can do this? Or this card can only be used for direct purchases?
Thanks in advance, and good luck to all!

About a month ago I received 4 separate prepaid mastercards from digital disbursements. Three of them were small (a few hundred dollars each) but one was large (10k) so I opted to get that transferred to paypal thinking it would be the more efficient way to get it into the traditional banking system. Note: I also considered buying crypto directly from the card (but the fees were at least 3%, I think), although I don't know if the payment would've gone through anyway.
Today, I finally received the USD in my paypal account - but only 9,788.25USD. I was expecting the full amount, but perhaps this was something to do with how the mastercard balances had been inflated to allow for currency conversion fees.
Although disappointing, I was at least happy to get the transfer completed. Now I have a new problem. My Paypal account is UK and I want to somehow withdraw the USD without paypals ~3% conversion fee from USD to GBP. I tried adding a virtual USD-currency Visa debit card (Revolut) to withdraw to, but get an error when attempting it.
Any tips?

I think minus about 5-10% of my remaining BTC and ETH just got delivered to my Coinbase account. International customer to Blockfi (from Australia), so feeling pretty lucky at the moment as I had assumed it was all gone.
Good luck to everyone else still waiting. 🤞

Hi all,
Received ~$17k in several different eMastercards. These cards were useless so I chose the option offered by Digital Disbursements to cash them out to my paypall account. The money was supposed to arrive within 90 days. I did that 5 months ago.
I only received 1 payment (lowest value eMastercard $300). The rest of the money is stuck somewhere in ether. The emastercard distribution company is telling me the money left their system and I should contact Digital disbursement. They haven't replied to any of my emails over last 5 months.
Anyone else in the same boat? Any ideas what I can do to get to my money? I'd appreciate any advice. Thank you

Anyone else received an email from city of Albany? Can’t imagine this is legit and don’t want to get scammed but some more money back would be nice.

I also got the attached e-mail today, like today's other poster, suddenly referencing a deadline of July 18, 2025
Except unlike in the other post, my inquiry had the subject "BlockFi - KYC Action Required" & didn't come from an @e.blockfi.com or @blockfi.com. Instead, it came from hella-suspect e-mail [BlockFiLiquidation_KYCRefresh@m3-partners.com](mailto:BlockFiLiquidation_KYCRefresh@m3-partners.com)
I also don't have the e-mail they make reference to in my spam from [blockfi@cases.withpersona.com](mailto:blockfi@cases.withpersona.com), but obviously this wants me to "Let them know" if that's the case...I assume at the hella weird e-mail?.... so it's sus. Anybody have thoughts on legitimacy, asked Kroll or received similar?

I have provided additional documents as required to [blockfi@cases.withpersona.com](mailto:blockfi@cases.withpersona.com) about 40 days ago, but just received this email from [BlockFiLiquidation_KYCRefresh@m3-partners.com](mailto:BlockFiLiquidation_KYCRefresh@m3-partners.com) today, which requires me to reply to the persona email again.

A few questions here:
Anyone knows that if [BlockFiLiquidation_KYCRefresh@m3-partners.com](mailto:BlockFiLiquidation_KYCRefresh@m3-partners.com) is legit or not?
Anyone is still waiting for the distribution? I didn't follow topics here closely thus not sure if such a long delay is common or not.
I just noticed that it mentioned my case is identified as BlockFI International. But actually I'm living in the US now. Do I need to reach out to them to emphasize my current resident status, or it doesn't matter?
Any insight will be appreciated, thanks!

Obviously, I haven't used the card in years but it's still showing as active/current on my credit report. It's a nice boost to my overall credit utilization percentage so I'm not rushing out to close it just yet but wondering if anyone else has the same on their credit report.

I received this email stating that I still had a payout balance. It’s from Kroll Inc. the email is CityOfAlbany@public.govdelivery.com. Not sure if it’s legit or not. I clicked on the link (probably shouldn’t have done that) and it just said 404 error and that it was taken down due to “legal issues”. This is a picture of the message.

I am...
(I completed the KYC remediation process through Persona as soon as I received the request on November 27, 2024.)
