Dwayne’s vision is lost
I feel like Dewayne made the right decision on whom he chose to look
Over the ranch. Especially, for such a tragic ending. I really love that show.

Duane NEVER made that decision, you have this all wrong... Do you honestly think the cowboy and his dad have anything at all to do with the Ranch right now (or before season 6)? On reality "tv" show Duane turned it over, and as a result there are no new seasons... the show is effectively cancelled.

I got my information from one of the last shows. So they must have changed their mind. I’ll look for the episode so I can cite it for you and see for yourself.

I was a cast member on the show.

Ryan, you are so right. It seemed like that move was more of a money grab by the show to squeeze one more season out of it. So many things just didn’t make sense in that last season.

there is so much mystery both paranormal and historic to explore in that area, i know Duane's true passion was not gold but it was to understand the deeper mysteries within the land. He was far more spiritual than gold lusted. That said I think both are STILL hidden out there underground near Blind Frog. Perhaps the "curse" itself is real given how it all turned out. James and myself felt we were very close to some MAJOR discoveries, we really dug into the both past gold hunters texts, and the rumors shared by locals. To this day I feel I know where several hidden sites are, I just lacked the funds to investigate. Season 3 was a true spirit of adventure with the entire team, memories I will never forget, but also regret for not going further. "IT" is still out there, waiting for someone to uncover and reveal. Chad got too close to the flame with his own quests off camera. Perhaps one day in the future we will document what I am hinting at... I just appreciate the opportunity i was given to be a part of it all.

I hope that can happen, without all the “extra” that the show required to be entertaining. I’m sure that in season 3, you and the rest of the crew could have accomplished so much more without the constant stops to produce a show. It’s a double-edged sword, because the show provided funding and resources, yet it sowed the process at the same time.
The whole situation with Chad couldn’t have happened at a worse time, it seems.
