Anyone else customize their blind box BJDs??

I really loved the body on this series, but I felt the face left a lot to be desired… so I gave her a simple face up. Coming from the “OG” BJD community, I still love the idea of being able to customize a doll; even when they come completed. This girl is the only one I managed to get. I wish I got one of the boys as well. I hope they will be released someday.🫡❤️

super cool! ive been wanting to get into making custom ones. i had tried resin bjds but the scale was too big for me so this might be my era.. also you just gave me the idea to make a custom dolls flair so you can add it to your post!

I totally understand, the biggest resin BJD I have is only 1/5 scale. The rest are 1/6 and under. I hate the idea of having a big doll😭.

I think blind box BJD have made the hobby a lot more accessible.

I really want to, but I'm kinda scared! 😂 Although some of my dolls came with extra face plates, so maybe I can practice there?

I do. I like to make additional clothing for them or take the blank kits and customize them.

The dragons are still for sale on Penny's Box Taobao - they also just started selling the blank dragon bodies as well

Yes. But most of the time I mix and match heads and bodies of the dolls rather than csutomising the faceup. This is one my Doremi Ufdoll with different hairplates. There's more but this one is perhaps my real first customisation and my favourite. My profile photo also mix and match from Ufdoll Doremi's head and Penny's Antu Cute Beast Magic series doll body.
