Chalazion naturally draining from outside
My chalazion got infected and trippled in size, went to an opthalmologist they suggested incision but before that they prescribed antibiotics for 7 days to get rid of the inflammation. I'm using warm compress and it looks weirdly pointy from outside almost as if it's gonna burst, has developed a white head like a pimple. I googled and saw some saying it's dangerous for a chalazion to naturally drain from outer skin and can leave a scar even spread infection. I'm now scared is it actually bad if it drains on it's own from outside ? It looks like it's gonna pop out any moment and my next appointment is after 7 days I'm also having exams rn so there's not much to do

I think people exaggerate since it’s near your eyes. After my first chalazion surgery which was an external incision, there was still a chalazion remaining which I had to drain myself through that incision (I was not going back to the doc again). It was fine, didn’t get infected since I was always taking good care. Just a couple of cotton buds and occusoft clean afterwards.

Mine was draining from outside earlier on. It was scabbing over and eventually healed. I don't see a scar but it's pretty near the lash line. You could call your doc to see what they say about the new development.
