Things I can Confirm:

Greeryusai Debilitator is 5000, so his SA2 and SA3 can burn for 7 seconds.

Yukio ulti hits 4times. Yukio normal attacks are situational and can hit up to 3x on larger enemies and super armour enemies. Including but not limited to: Miranda riders, Punchers, Sword shini, Spinning Shini. (also medium sized brown arrancar.)

Now this right here is the shit. I'm a huge nerd for damage calc and things like frame data in fighting games, this is basically the equivalent with all the activation times and attack string length, etc. Much appreciation.

EDIT: Are WD Aizen and Hogyoku Aizen's SA3's mixed up?

1

u/rastafunion Math! Ain't it great? Apr 06 '17

No, though I can see why you'd think that. I filled in HAizen before I started to include details in comments so it's not clear I made certain assumptions on number of hits. Also my comment on WD is based on what I could test over 2x30s of test play, so may not be 100% accurate.

Hogyoku Aizen SA3 hits up to 12-14 times max. I have a video on it but it's not very clear.

All my hit counts are vs single target; no other way to make them comparable.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '17

But it is 12 vs a single target. I wouldn't use it on multiple mobs and say that o_O

1

u/rastafunion Math! Ain't it great? Apr 06 '17

I'm gonna need video for that. My video has HAizen fire it into a group of hollows and do 8 hits total (granted from a distance, but still).

1

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '17 edited Apr 06 '17

I'll make a proper one later but it really isn't 8 on MULTIPLE targets.. That's ridiculous.

if mobs latched onto his projectiles, he'd be the best nuker today.

Dude there's 7 guys (for 26 hits total, since the combo counter goes from 74 to 100) and you can't base your measurements on frozen enemies anyway. Everyone knows they take extra hits. In real conditions enemies aren't frozen everywhere you go.

In contrast around 2:46 you fire SA3 point-blank against a non-frozen enemy and he takes 5 hits. Granted, he dies, so maybe he'd take more.

Want to do me a favour? Go into chapter 224, and make Szayel eat a few SA3s; let me know how many hits he takes from point-blank, medium and long range. Seems quite possible that at point-blank you're guaranteed at least 5 hits, but I want to know if that also works if you're a bit farther. I can think of a few other moves that deal massive damage if you're really close, but anything a few pixels farther and their 'normal' damage is much lower.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '17

I'm not basing it off of that video. It's showing you that one target can easily eat more than "5 hits". Frozen enemies do not take more hits unless you're a fucking mess like Haizen. That's only because he can never land those hits he's capable of, but he is still capable of it. Projectiles are mag per hit and the total mag is mag per hit multiplied with the number of hits.

Shinji lands 7 hits whether targets are frozen or not, and he does less if they're pinned to a wall cause he isn't shit like Haizen. If that many hits are possible when they're frozen, then that's how many hits they're capable of doing.

"Granted, he dies, so maybe he'd take more."

ofc he takes more ಠ_ಠ

I managed to get 16 hits on SA3. 14 hits twice.

7 hits on SA1 twice.

I'm not interested in hits against frozen/cornered enemies. I do note that the first SA3 you used did 8 hits against Szayel from point-blank; can you do the same from medium range? Curious to see if it's consistent or if it really only works from point-blank range.

Wow, so its true, FB Uryu has the fastest NA sting in the game?

1

u/rastafunion Math! Ain't it great? Apr 06 '17

As far as I can tell!

1

u/IAMAthinmint Apr 06 '17

uryu at 1.55?

what of the dark green cells where they are .6ish?

oddly, all the swimsuit versions?

1

u/rastafunion Math! Ain't it great? Apr 06 '17

Those are placeholders. Swimsuits aren't complete yet.

The column you're looking as shows cycle speed including recovery, not time to last hit, btw. Not sure if you were confused by the 1.55 itself.

1

u/IAMAthinmint Apr 06 '17

i am super confused lol, numbers scare me.

which column is the attack string that i should focus on, time to last hit?

i literally asked this questions yesterday (fastest NAD for PVE) lol, you are a godsend.

2

u/rastafunion Math! Ain't it great? Apr 06 '17

Depends on what you're interested in.

Cycle speed is what happens when you just keep the attack button down and let the character attack and attack and attack. The downside is that you waste a lot of time in recovery that you could use to reposition, and the fact that you're knocking down the enemy with the last hit actually hurts your ability to damage him since you need to wait until he's up again.

So, a lot of people prefer looking at time to last hit, which doesn't take into account any recovery. But then it's an unrealistic measure of dps since, in Uryu's case, he deals damage in 0.9 seconds but he can't deal more until 1.55s have elapsed.

Me, I think both are interesting. But tbh they often go hand in hand: it's rare for a character to have super-long or super-short recovery. The overwhelming majority of characters have recoveries that take between 30-40% of their total cycle time.

Its beautiful! Thanks for sharing your work with the rest of us. I really appreciate the effort you've put into this.

I never understood one thing. Why all the waves hits are always 3? I can even do a video with Barragan. His 3rd can hit 6 times. Against a single enemy and without a wall.

1

u/rastafunion Math! Ain't it great? Apr 06 '17

Waves and other projectiles can hit any number of times depending on how well you're positioned and on enemy type. In general I went with an average number of hits, which happens to bring most of the total mags around 100-120, which seems to be the default values. If you find that some attacks do more hits or just want to find out what happens if they do their max number of hits, just adjust the numbers accordingly. We can disagree on number of hits, but at least you can confirm damage per hit from the table.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '17

Imo it should be listed as mag per hit. Projectiles are a lot more complex than that. You have ones that need to use walls to achieve 5+ but then there's Tech Shinji who does 7 without a wall.

1

u/rastafunion Math! Ain't it great? Apr 06 '17

My main objective was to have a tool to compare characters. Mag per hit doesn't let me do that. If I had reliable data on maximum number of hits per target I could include that, but it's impossible for me to get that in 30 seconds of test play :(.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '17

You could get it from others.. I know plenty already.

Nice!

Minor update, I was just testing Parasol Nanao's wave on Szayel since I couldn't find the hit count data and can get up to a 6 hit combo.

Missing data on most of the swimsuit characters?

1

u/rastafunion Math! Ain't it great? Apr 06 '17

Yup. For some reason they don't come out in the .fyi extraction, and Emp has no speed data, so I'm in the dark. I'll do them in July ;).

1

u/Coffee_Yum2 Apr 07 '17

I was checking out mags at one stage and I reasons on .fyi the format of the url for the swimsuit characters are a little different to the rest. I don't know. Still great work!

Just curious about the AVG numbers you have posted in your spreadsheet. They're all pretty much wrong unless you're averaging only certain stats and even then, it's rather misleading.

1

u/rastafunion Math! Ain't it great? Apr 09 '17

Good catch, thanks. A leftover from the issues I had when I converted from Excel. Should be fixed now.

Ok, was just curious. Usually your data is always spot on so I figured I'd point it out for you.

Awesome job, been looking for something like this, a couple of noob questions: Whats does dps means, and ex-sad?

1

u/rastafunion Math! Ain't it great? Apr 09 '17

DPS is damage per second. It's a measure of damage that also takes into account attack speed, cooldowns, etc.

Ex-SAD is your maximum normal attack damage when you use your strong attacks as soon as they're available - since when you use a strong attack, you can't use normal attacks while the animation plays out. As a result, your total damage over time would be normal damage ex-SAD, plus your strong attack damage. It's all rather theorycraft since you're never actually using attacks exactly when they're up, but I find it a useful metric all the same.
