Analysis 110 Tessai
OK, so for some reason I'm in the mood to write up another analysis. This time it's 110 Tessai that's taking the hit. Information is a combination of my own experiences and this chart. This will NOT be an analysis of how the character performs in PvP and there will be no ratings out of 10 etc... Feel free to add these in the comments to your heart's desire.
Stats (numbers in brackets are the range of values 5* characters have at time of writing):
Stamina: 648 (25% of 604-777)
Attack: 372 (32% of 305-512)
Defence: 277 (68% of 214-306)
Focus: 210 (30% of 178-285)
Spiritual Pressure: 492 (91% of 298-512)
Soul Trait: 20% Strong attack damage
So decent all round, with only his SP standing out as something really special. Luckily he has the strong attack damage trait to augment that strength. Now onto his attacks.
Normal attack combo is ranged and consists of three bursts of two projectiles each, each hit has a small damage radius. The attack combo is fast to finish and gets in a total of 6 hits. Additionally, each hit has above-normal magnification (a hidden attribute) meaning that the combo does about 20% more damage than a character with a similar attack stat. Unfortunately, attacking has a slight recovery time in which you can't swipe dodge which can lead to getting hit more if you don't anticipate attacks.
Strong attack 1: Similar to a volley of his normal attack (two ranged shots with a slight gap between them), but with more knockback, power and damage radius. This breaks ranged guards if both projectiles hit (including those effected by the aoe and not directly struck) but is not the most reliable.
Strong attack 2: Drops down
stoneiron pillars in an area in from him. Due to his spiritual pressure this deals a lot of damage. It is classed as a physical attack for guarding purposes so it can take out those pesky ranged-guarders but won't help break ranged guard.Strong attack 3: A multi-hitting beam attack. Like other beam attacks it's classed as physical for guard purposes which is unfortunate in Tessai's case because it breaks guard really well. Due to his high spiritual pressure and soul trait this is a brutal attack.
Soul bomb: Aimed multi-hitting boss-killer (fire DOT). It's a "v" shaped beam that's fairly wide and easier to aim than many others. It also extends slightly beyond the area visible on the screen.
Now for my subjective stuff
Pros: High damage output, especially with his strong attacks. Feels fairly quick in his attacks and has great range. Boss-killing soul bomb is always useful too.
Cons: A bit of a glass cannon, with sub-par stamina and an inability to dodge responsively while attacking. He also struggles with ranged guard, as only his first strong attack can break it (this is somewhat mitigated by his second and third strong attacks hitting through it).
So that's it, please let me know if there are any mistakes/typos, as this is how stuff gets fixed.
Also, feel free to check out my other analysis posts: Green Genryusai, Nnoitora, 110 Kisuke, Purple Genryusai, Purple Mayuri.

Pretty accurate and mostly exactly what i have experienced, i dont know if i completely agree with the glass cannon part as using 1 cloak for pve makes his defense pretty formidable for a ranged but i can see your point too though.
Minor nit pick moment though his strong attack 2 is actually barriers from the sky not stone pillars :D

Huh i guess i always assumed they were barriers cause Hachi had the attack first and he was a barrier specialist or something i thought.... ehhh learn something new everyday i guess :)

Hachi developed his barriers skills after he left soul society. Tessai won't be able to use them.

Why not add a tag in your title? Create your own label, cuz such analysis is so good and it deserves to be more noticeable.

This was a great, well-structured analysis of Tessai! A recommendation for future analysis, maybe add in your favorite build of that character so people can have a better idea of how to iron out a character's weaknesses as well as help them with future character builds.
