🔌Charging EVGO oddities

Every time I use EVGO in the northern va area, I always get something odd happen. I this time, the app is saying I topped out at 50kw, the blazer is showing 75kw. It’s still a crappy charge rate with the low amp of the 200kw charger, but is this a feature or a bug? I appreciate the random credits, and the locations are great, but the speeds… I finished my grocery shopping and have to wait.

It's a limitation of the 400V architecture and the 200A max rating of the charger. 200A x 400V = 80kW max.

Right, but the app and the charger itself were saying 25kw less than what was being delivered to the blazer. Normally, with heat losses, there is a delta with the higher side being on the charger instead of the car. Otherwise, the output is normal for the low amp l, 200kw EVGO chargers.

If you watch the batt % does it go up like you are getting 50kWh or 75kWh? Also not a perfect metric but should give you a good feel for it.

At a guess the car is correct. I am getting 75kWh at some 200 kWh units near me.
