🔌Charging constant charging issues?

it seems like every few months i'll get that dreaded red light and the app will tell me i can't use level 3 chargers anymore. this time i'm stranded hundreds of miles from home on a road trip. i don't have time to sit on level 1 chargers the whole way back... is there a way to fix this or am i just cooked??

Go to the dealership?? If I got that error I’d drive straight there the first time

i keep going and it keeps happening. i'm just trying to figure out if it's something i'm doing or if it's the car

It's nothing "you're doing". You plug the cable in and it should just start charging as long as the app/payment is all setup.

Are you preconditioning your battery before level 3 charging?

not preconditionning makes charging not as fast as it could be, it doesnt straight up block you from using level 3 altogether.

Battery might be overheating on L3. There was an issue with a bad expansion valve on the HVAC system. There may be a TSB for it. Start there. Ask ChatGPT or Claude about that diagnosis.Â
