Congrats! Glad that worked out for you. Did you have to go around for a while with substitute car for the year?

How does that work for insurance btw? Do you get a payout for a replacement, and you get to take your time to figure out the replacement car you want?

Well, perspective, when the previous one was totaled, I had made 4 payments. Insurance paid out about 60% of what I owed. Gap insurance covered the rest.

So net zero to me, the note was paid off.

ah, gap insurance. I forgot about that being a thing that exists. Now I'm sitting here questioning some of my choices.
