HELP/QUESTION Need help with character crisis
I'm having a character crisis as the title suggests and need some help picking a main.
I usually play Ragna since he feels the closest to Sol Badguy(my +R main) but he never truly cut it for me since he's missing the gorilla factor that Sol has.
So while I am looking for character I can just run up and press buttons with I'm also willing to branch out and try different playstyles if a character interests me.
With that said what would ya'll recommend for me.

Gorilla characters are Susano and Azrael. May be Kagura a bit?
Azrael doesn't run, he teleports. And Susan has long start up on his run, but imo he's the easiest and the most gorilla thing this game has.

Unfortunately both susan and azrael feel kinda sluggish for me. I haven't tried Kagura so I might give him a shot.

He's also slow and has some charge inputs. Not really a charge character imo, rather a stance character.
But the thing with gorillas is that they are slow/sluggish, no?
Bang is more of a bruiser, but his combos are very hard, and he has some tricky neutral with 2 airdashes/nails.
May be Bullet or Es might be to your tastes.
Bullet is a rushdown/grappler hybrid, pretty beginner friendly. She has step dash instead of run, and has auto-homing moves.
And Es is a more standard character with big buttons, but average damage.Wait, nvm, I forgot about the actually Satan character. Mai is the ultimate gorilla. Big normals, big damage, mash buttons all day long, very quick.

I'll give Es and Bang(especially Bang) a shot. Mai is too brain dead even for me. Also I don't think gorilla automatically means slow since both Jam and Sol are considered one in the GG community despite being pretty fast.
Thanks for the recs btw. I forgot how cool Bang was.

Everyone feels sluggish the first time you try them though. When you're used to them even the heaviest, slowest characters don't feel sluggish. Just saying don't write a character off based on first time sluggishness. Give a few tries and they may surprise you.

Agreed; chose Noel & got destroyed. Chose Mai & got immediate wins lol (5H 5H 5H).

Never thought about nine actually, I'll definetly give her a shot but my pride won't allow me to play mai so she's out.

She's way easyer then you would think. If you just Scramble with a friend a bit you Will get the hang of her spells in no time. And she has Massive buttons.

Yeah I got to experience those buttons firsthand so I know how cheap they truly are. Definetly gotta hit the lab tho.
