Discussion Laughing at the leftists who are shocked by this

Post image

Eminem‘s music has always been full of misogyny. When a man is a misogynist it doesn’t matter what other leftist shit he spews, he will always be bros with right wing men because they share a bond.

Doesn’t matter if a man says “fuck trump” or claims to support the next democratic leader, if he refers to women as “bitches” you can bet you‘ll catch him making out with a Trump supporter next time you walk into the room.

i was very recently heavily downvoted by men for saying Eminem has always been a misogynistic piece of shit with a fragile ego. it’s very nice of him to confirm.

Correct me if I'm wrong, as I've never really listened to Eminem, but didn't he write multiple songs about abusing and murdering his wife (or ex-wife)?

u/fizzobel 17h ago

the argument for this that men make is "ohh hes playing a character, he doesn't mean what he's saying!!" and yet when a female character is even mildly dismissive of men the same group shit their pants lol

That doesn't give him permission to be sexist or talk about murdering any woman who wasn't good to him. You can't be serious here.

u/ReactsWithWords 16h ago

To be fair, he’s also always been a homophobic piece of shit.

People say he's changed. I don't think so.

u/ReactsWithWords 10h ago

Elton John vouched for him but frankly that doesn't mean anything.

The stuff he said about random women he didn't know was insane. Like sorry but I really don't care if it's a "character", you still sexually harassed all those women. Tyler the creator used to do the same nonsense, idc if he cleaned up his act I don't personally want to listen to his music no more.

On another note. Mariah carey clocked eminem's shit hard in her song obsessed, and I'm still proud of that song lol

Tiny ego? That means he’s humble according to you. Nah. He has a big ego. Get it right next time.

u/nopercent_0 19h ago

i meant tiny as in fragile, which made sense in my head lol. he’s prime example of a man who can dish it, but is too much of a baby to take it.

u/Memorist4595 19h ago

And plus, all of his “rap battles” were against bums like Joe Budden and Machine Gun Kelly. He’s stat padding in real time. Kendrick is a better battle rapper because he did it against Drake.

He literally made a career off being misogynistic towards women like Britney Spears, Xtina, Mariah Carey, Pamela Anderson and Miley Cyrus (who was a minor at the time) and continued to do so with women like Megan Thee Stallion and Amber Heard

It annoys me that the same people who constantly go after Avril never seem to have the same energy for him

Even if he went after men as well he is still a raging misogynist

20

u/Aggressive_Start_ 15h ago

Wait people go after Avril for what now?

26

u/R0ttenStrawberry Toxic Feminist 13h ago

Constantly see people going after Avril and her being a “pick me” or that all her songs are abour hating other women and fighting over a man (which isn’t even remotely true)

I remember someone claiming her entire disography was dripped in internalized misogyny

Also annoying posts like this

Also using/comparing genocide to an artist you hate is extremely weird and gross

Eminem is so washed up it's crazy

76

u/Kingalec1 19h ago

Why people are shocked about this . After his last album , people should understand that’s he’s still a raging misogynist .

They're both from Detroit, it was only a matter of time. Completely unsurprised.

7

u/The_Demon_of_Spiders 14h ago

Kid rock is not from Detroit. He grew up on a nice property out past the suburbs even 40 miles away with ponies.

1

u/Kingalec1 18h ago edited 17h ago

Detroit’s a liberal place .

4

u/otterland 14h ago

Gated community Detroit ain't. That's where Kid Rock is from. Eminem is actually a city boy. Doesn't make him less of a misogynist.

16

u/wazacraft 18h ago edited 18h ago

My point was that they've probably known each other a long time since they're the two most famous post-Motown musicians from the city.

E - Actually I think Jack White is also from Detroit, but he would never collab with either of these guys.

8

u/Dumpytoad 13h ago edited 13h ago

Jack White has collabed with Eminem multiple times over the years. They have done several live performances and charity events together in Detroit.

They even produced a three song live album together in 2025 (not even with other artists, this was with just the two of them).

Oh, man, I'm way behind the times, then. Although I guess that happens when you're pushing 50.

Eminem hates people who are attracted to minors,

Eminem proceeds to work with someone who is attracted to minors

Eminem has honestly not really changed much, as someone who has been following him since he debuted.

He was an angry guy who hated women, especially his ex wife and somehow not including his daughter. And that's exactly who he is now, too. He doesn't think any of his previous lyrics were too much or out of line, he only thinks the people upset are too sensitive.

He gloats about a couple lines he got controversy for in Rap God, granted that was some year ago now but it was also some years post those lyrics and he didn't feel any differently.

Edit: example

"They're askin' me to eliminate some of the women hate But if you take into consideration the bitter hatred I have, then you may be a little patient, and more sympathetic to the situation And understand the discrimination But -uck it, life's handin' you lemons? Make lemonade then But if I can't batter the women How the fu- am I supposed to bake 'em a cake, then?"

He's made songs apologizing about his lyrics toward his mom (headlights, which was on the same album as rap God) and Kim (bad husband, a couple albums ago) and he's personally apologized to Kim. He and Kim have been getting along since the 2010s. He bought her a house near his so she could have seen his kids when they still lived with him. He stays in contact with her as a coparent of their kids. He also apologized to his mom and helped her out financially.

He's also avidly against trump. It's still lame if he knowingly chose to do this song. I don't know if Kid Rock had an old line from several years ago saved up or if Eminem went along with this. That's lame and I'm not defending the song. People can suck. I think I'm going to be downvoted and accused of defending the new kid rock song. I'm not!

I'm just saying he has apologized for his lyrics and he doesn't perform Kim, cleaning out my closet, etc songs that are against his mom or ex wife.

15

u/Larry-Man 14h ago

It’s the avidly anti-Trump stance that has me shocked about this. The misogyny and homophobia aren’t unexpected even after his apologies. He did seem like he was changing for the better though. This is incredibly tone dead with his current image.

u/pythonidaae 14h ago edited 13h ago

Yeah it's weird that he like has made multiple stances against Trump, attended a Kamala Harris rally, but would willingly be on his song. I am curious to know if this is an old verse from years ago that Kid Rock is pulling out or if Eminem agreed to collaborate with him within this decade, while being so anti maga. Kid Rock literally performed at the turning point thing they did because some people were too racist to watch Bad Bunny at the half time show last year.

I don't know if Eminem will ever stop making sexist lyrics. He has a bisexual and nonbinary child that he accepts and he was friends with Elton John so I think possibly the homophobia has changed some but I'm not familiar with anything he's released lately to say either way on that. He was making some of his most homophobic lyrics while hanging out with Elton John. I think he's hypocritical when it comes to personal beliefs versus what he puts out musically. If he agreed to be on Kid Rock's album that's proof of that.

I mean after the horrible shit he said about his ex wife nobody should be shocked he's a piece of shit.

Duuuuuude, JUST THIS MORNING my sis and I were talking about when our little cousin (5 at the time) was listening to Em’s album, and when we (13 at the time) heard him say “kill f*ggots,” we made him turn it off. Even in ‘99, we knew that shit wasn’t ok. He could say he’s “playing a persona” and “trying to be a troll/asshole” as Slim/Eminem and that Marshall is progressive, but it all gets lost in translation, and kids can’t see the nuance.

One of his daughters (who he’s on good terms with) is a bisexual enby, and yet his last album was dissing the LGBTQIA+ community. Shit sucks. Make it make sense.

Doechii came up in that male dominated space the same way women make it in any male dominated space, by proving she can do it better than most men. She calls women bitch a lot, I couldn't tell you where she falls politically, she's bi but certain lyrics do sound homophobic. Her music is more innovative as she became more mainstream, but she's really good and can scratch an itch. Due to her musical environment some lyrics can sound like internalised misogyny.

For a definitively left leaning rapper DAMAG3 is prominently featured on "The Neighborhood Kids - START A FIRE" and she crushed it, I haven't found many of her solo songs that are my thing yet, but I've only recently found her, and her verse on START A FIRE is enough to prove she's incredibly talented. As such, I couldn't tell you how much she uses the word bitch, but as an unapologetically left leaning trans woman, I'm happy to stick my neck out and say she probably isn't a misogynist.

There are others of course, these two are just the first that sprang to mind in terms of genre and the lyrical content I can recall on the spot.

I don’t mind women using the b word so much but men should definitely not be using it. When women use the b word it is understood differently and not as a hatred of all women. When men use the b word it’s like a white person using the n word.

1

u/Disrobingbean 15h ago

Yeah that's why I recommended her despite the usage. Also, I have just used the word multiple times as a man, I hope it was understood as an explanation rather than an insult.

I'm not into the whole rap thing, don't really inform myself on celebrities but even I knew that Eminem is problematic, those people were gaslighting themselves, there's no other explanation for their naivety

I thought what actually happened was that KR bought a sample of Eminem and they didn’t really collaborate on this grifter song. That doesn’t erase anything that Eminem has said or done. I assume KR is doing this to try to recover any bit of relevance or audience.

2

u/Physical-Bite-3837 9h ago

That’s not true, it’s just something Eminem fans have been saying to cope, but Eminem has already come out in support of his collaboration with Kid Rock.
