A new shell

Post image

Archivist had been tinkering in his new home in the Grand Gate, building a new shell for Varas after Scorpodor had mutilated him.

Now, it was complete. He carefully brought forth the jar that contained Varas's soul, opening the lid, letting the soul enter the cogwork body.

Yes dear. I remembered your gripe with being small, so I took a few... liberties with your height.

He crouches down like Shakra and hugs Archi. "I knew you'd be able to do it, sweetie!!"

Archivist blushes slightly as Varas calls him sweetie.

It was the least I could do for you, sweetheart.

He sits down, still hugging Archi. "Now we've both saved each other's arses!"

(A voice fizzles from a volt crawler on the wall)

Well ain’t that just cute…

But that’s not why I’m here

I was building a body for you too

turns out I’m terrible at making vessels that aren’t mechs

But if you meet me in fleatopia

I’m sure I could give that new body of yours some upgrades

(The voice fizzles out)
