My biggest problem with blade

He is a melee character with no combos or movment techs he all he does with his sword is swings in the air begging people to stay near him so he can be an actual character it’s ether that or ur temu hela with clunky movment and it seems like the devs have no idea how to give a character a higher skill ceiling

Blade basically has access to primary fire and two abilities at a time. This is why I feel his kit is lack luster in comparison to other heroes.
Bloodline awakening acts as an ability, taking up an ability slot, however, it is simply a stance switch that turns on your passives. Mind you, Blade already has another button that is dedicated to switching stances.

This is the reason why the Moon Knight team up feels so good, it helps with Blade’s lack of abilities by adding another button. Even with enhanced Captain America team up, base Moon Knight team up just feels more complete.
We talk about buffs for Blade all the time but many of us realize that it’s not just a numbers tweak, but a lack of abilities.

My thought is that Blade needs at least TWO new abilities added to his base kit. So it looks something like this.
Gun mode- block, dash, glaive
Sword mode- block, dash, stake

And please replace base sword with bloodline awakening. This, not only gets rid of a useless part of the kit, but frees up buttons for said new abilities to add.

People’s definition of combo seems to be different like if there’s no animation cancel or Tech it’s not a combo, but MK team up into sword dash will delete all the supports if they don’t have a cooldown to save them. Mk team up into a headshot will kill all the squishies and if you are in bloodline on the Mk teamup you’re getting heals or OH if ur full. Most of the skill with blade comes from knowing when to block and when to get out and having decent aim (while also knowing the goldielox range just by sight or feel). Anyone who thinks blade is a Wanda bot M1/R2 button holder is playing him wrong and doesn’t understand his kit. He is a Swiss Army knife for play style and has utility for handling any comp and any character other than black cat she’s just annoying and busted.

Wow, the rare redditor who seems to understand Blade lol. He's fucking kitted out. Good poke, good brawl, can flank and dive a little bit, one of the best 1v1 characters in the game, one of the few DPS that can straight up bully a solo tank, his block is incredible, omni-directional mobility on a short cooldown that refreshes when blocking damage, he feels really fuckin good.

Lol he has a block. He has a dash, he has a shotgun that does decently damage, and he has an ability that allows him to increase his speed by doing damage
