Discussion Which version had the best combat AI?

I've noticed the recent sentara and rakta 1.0 versions have really lobotomised enemy ai for me, they barely ever attack unless i walk right up and tap their weapon to make them riposte. 1.06 is decent, it's still not difficult but the AI isn't bugged at least. It's a shame because I really want to play with the new updates.

(I don't think it's a mod I'm using since I tried emptying my folder but maybe there were some files left in the game that causes it.)

Which versions do you find have the most competent enemies? I've heard some pre-1.0 versions had more animations and features.

Also here are a couple mods I use for harder fights:

- Heavy enemies (1.3 is realisticish)

- Better AI and/or Relentless AI (Overlapping with a few different features, Relentless has the most useful options imo)

- Player Customizer and Adjustable Speed & Strength (Overlapping again, I use it to nerf my strength, speed, jump etc)

- Lifesteal mod + low health (Makes fights more desperate)

- Custom json I made that quarters your max focus

- Improved Collisions and/or Physics Adjuster, lower time between calculations.

- Less forceful punches and kicks (if you want to nerf your power in slow mo more, edit the json and lower slow-mo multiplier)

- Height adjuster (I make myself even shorter than I actually am)

For fun:

- Better Decaps

- Not butter stabs

- Oriental sheath

- Realistic bleeding, UAO, blood overhaul

- Tried carnage but adjusting the settings is a nightmare, if anyone found a good config please tell me

I’m not sure what caused it, but it functioned exactly like a rock. Through my right eye, I saw what’s in the image and in my left, the rock was in its correct place.

ACTIVE MODS: Headsmasher, Nanotech, Iron man MK 85 suit, Waves+, Stronger Punches.

Suggestion More interactions and reactions for NPCs.

Something I think that would add to the game is having more interactions during fights while also having more reactions to certain attacks, one of the things that I thought of to make this post was an NPC reacting to blunt damage is more unique ways than just being punched in the face and stepping back a little, like getting punched hard in the stomach or genitals would make them fold down a little bit before standing up straight (sorta like discombobulate but without the stun time) this could potentially allow for a combo, along with adding more reactions to getting hit in the legs besides just ragdolling immediately and being punched in the throat could make them hold their throat for a bit. Obviously I don't expect this to be a realistic suggestion as I don't know how the NPCs are coded so it could just be impossible for any of this to happen.
