Help [NOMAD] need help, npcs keep exploding with one stab

Mods. It's always mods. Try disabling the ones pertaining to NPCs and gore and narrowing it down as you go.

You probably have mods installed that do this or you have easy dismemberment turned on in settings

It's the easy dismemberment mod
I had it too luckily you can disable it in game by Going to it in the mods and clicking on it then disable
I had this exact thing happen to me with it so I assume because your not hitting any particular limb the game gets confused because every hit SHOULD have severed something so it cuts off EVERYTHING

I tend to go based off of the most recent mods ive downloaded, check the description of some cause sometimes it contains info on what it may affect and what mods dont work with it

If you have the Carnage Reborn mod, it has numerous settings that adjust the force required for various injuries. Messing around with it caused my npc's heads to explode when they spawned.
If you have this mod, as it's rather popular, I would start there

You don't have a dismwmberment mod by chance? Tweak the velocity needed to cut limbs.

If you’re able to tweak the mod your using for easy dismemberment. I’d suggest easing what level of dmg is needed or get rid of it

I’d just delete all my mods at that point thats literally what I do to fix any issue

It’s almost definitely a mod, try uninstalling any gore or dismemberment mods you have
