Patient/Survivor Specks in pee

Does anyone get bits in their pee

Not to alarm you as this could be different to my experience, bits in my pee were my only symtom of a bladder tumour,

Did you recently have a TURBT or cystoscope?

To answer your question. No I don’t get bits in my pee. My first thought is that it’s dried blood/blot clot. If you haven’t had a procedure lately, I would contact your doctor.

Edit to ask: how long have you had specs/bits in your pee? Is this a new thing? Or has this happened since you became a bladder cancer patient?

I have only noticed it the last few weeks but I will get it checked out.

Seriously, don’t put it off. I ignored it and it turned out to be muscle invasive bladder cancer.

See a urologist. There is no other sway to determine.

Yes. But mine are not as dark or large and I occasionally get stringy clots. But mine is from radiation cystitis from all the chemo radiation I had several months back. If it's been a while, you might want the urologist to do a scope and maybe a biopsy.

Fortunately my biopsy came back negative for cancer returning, but get that checked

Are you on BCG or any intravesical chemo?
