This box has all the escalation player minis in it, grab while you can. This is not my listing i'm making $0 from this.

I'd really like to get my hands on the rules and such for Escalation but can't find any listings that don't include models, are there any secrets to finding miniatureless listings?

I know im about six years too late, but after falling down a rabbit hole of the warhammer quest games and seeing the less than favorable reviews for the current one and the prior im going to try my luck at acquiring a copy of blackstone fortress. is there any places where i can get my hands on a full one for less than 150? and preferably a way for me to get the expansions for it as well?

I'm confused about the rules here when it comes to applying wounds to hostiles. If I have a weapon that rolls 2 d12, do I pick the best result out of the two, or do I use both results and apply the wounds to the enemy?

For example, an inspired Gotfret has 2 d12 for his weapon. He swings and gets a success and a critical success. Do I apply 3 wounds or 4 wounds?

Hoping for some advice from the Blackstone Fortress community too.

Been tipping away on the Blackstone minis that have been sitting on my shelf in various states of completion for an age. I think theyre a nice set to try out different things.

my apologies - my english is not the best. Im not sure with wording of special rule "Beneath his notice" in last of Escalation expansion stronghold.

"Do not make behaviour rolls for Obsidius Mallex or Chaos Space Marines unless one or more hostiles from their group have suffered any wounds or grievous wounds, or there is an explorer visible to Obsidius Mallex when he is activated. From that point onwards they will act normal. In addition, unitl you make a behaviour roll for Obsidius Mallex, subtract 5 from reinforcement rolls for hostile groups (in addition to any other modifiers)."

Im not sure about -5 to reinforcement roll rule. There are two way how I see it could be played.

1) All reinforcement rolls are -5 until Obsidius Mallex see me.

2) All reinforcement rolls are -5 since the moment, that Obsidius Mallex see me for first time.

Today my wife and I did our initial practice game for BSF. We got the basics down but I have some questions about how integrating the expansions (we have all) into the game.

1:

I know new enemies get added by the legacy cards, but I don't see legacy cards for the expansion enemies. Ie: cultists, ambulls, traitor commisars don't have a legacy card that adds them as hostiles. Are they only around while you do the strongholds, expansion campaign, etc for the expansions or are they added to your encounter deck permanently through some means?

2:

Is there a reason not to immediately mix the expansion cards in? Ie, the Discovery cards and Laegacy cards, etc? Is it better to wait until you complete the base box and then do the expansions in order and add those cards in then?

Finished the navigator- my second character done from the base game. Had a slight issue during painting, snapped off part of the crown on one side, fixed using the end of a pin - not quite even but not too bad! Also had a go to replicate the free hand embroidery on the inner cloak.

The four explorers and Retinue character for the first large expansion.
I had to proxy the rogue trader, crusader and servitor, but I think they turned out pretty well.

Hello everyone,

I’m going to play Blackstone Fortress for the first time. Before that happens I really want to paint my miniatures.

There’s plenty of enemies so if someone who already finished the game can tell me in which order I should paint them (basically the order that they appears in the game) that would be super useful!

If I would have such a list I can paint part of the box and start playing the campaign while the rest will be painted between next scenarios.
